We don't play that way so what is the good of signing wingers?

Another dimension, so we can mix, match and confuse the hell out of oposition defenses.
If we are losing with 20 minutes to go who will the oposition rather see come on? Anelka and Malouda or 2 young hungry wingers which will stretch them completely?
We need one to go into our first team
Perhaps a younger one too but hopefully Kakuta/Davila/De Bruyne will improve from where they are now
And in response to the question - I'd like to see us go all-out for Hazard in the summer.
Agreed, for years we have lacked width, maybe signing a player such as Mauro Zarate, who imo is a quality player!

I´d like us to sign Kevin De Bruyne in January. Ticks all the boxes and would allow Mata to play through the middle.
Nearly happened in the summer so hopefully we get it tied up this January or failing that next summer.

We are limited to 25 players,3 of which are keepers so 22 outfield players. If you start having too many players for positions we don't use and the managers formation doesn't warrent you end up being thin in areas he does need cover for.
You don't sign players for the sake of it but to fit in to your team mold.AVB does not use out and out wingers.
Pablo Hernandez is one. Michel Bastos is another. William and MIlos Krasic also play this position quite effectively for their teams. They'll probably be out of our price range though.
Just remembered Jesus Navas, Diego Capel, Balasz Dzudzsak, Ahmed Musa, Diego Perotti, Pedro Leon(who Ancelotti wanted), Jose Callejon, Jonathan Biabany and so many others. Don't think we need these all out right wingers though. I'll be happy with a Thomas Mueller type who can supply from out wide and mix it with quality passing in the middle. Marko Marin can also do this.
You seriously do not want Biabiany. The guy is basically a French Walcott but without the (semi) decent finishing ability. Decision making is terrible.
Navas gets homesick
I think we were strongly linked with him under Big Phil but that was a barrier apparently
The primary quality should be 'are they technically good footballers'
Then narrow down the list to players who can play wide and go from there
So my point is don't go for someone to just run down the touchline all game
I think Navas might have overcome some of his homesickness problems? Pretty sure he has played a few away matches for Spain.
Whether or not he would be able to cope with spending large amounts of time away from Seville is another question altogether.

I'd like us to look at Tarrabt at QPR
He's wasted there
Tarrabt is definately sulking at qpr at the moment. he looks a bit unfit aswell. But wouldnt mind bringing him in. He reminds me of quareshma
Let's see how he does on Sunday...
Adam Johnson? Not looking too happy at City, and AVB enquired about him last summer. So certainly realistic.
Could switch wings with Studge...Robben and Duff stylee
