Patel would have had Gambir out pretty early had Kieswetter not dropped a regulation nick.

to be honest this pitch was probably a 320 pitch atleast. Trott was way too slow. I mean he couldnt even reach his 100 and a patel who came almost at about 35th over and reached 70. Trott is not a good finisher and chewed up so many balls, which could potentially be turned into singles at minimum

Viru i think you are spot on. Trott at the death was painful to watch. He took no risk with footwork to make an angle to get a boundry. Was he thinking more about 3 figures at the death rather than going gun ho for the team? Trott is a crucial player but this one tone batting needs to be looked at.

Kieswetter had a poor game behind the stumps. But he very raley makes any mistakes. To give the gloves to Bairstow would be unkind. Let the guy be a player in his own rights..

For england to make a comeback, it had to be this ground. The next 2 pitches are known as spinners paradise and the ball will turn. So its very hard for england to make a comeback. unless they improve in their fielding and bowling at death.

Pietersen and Trott were scoring 6 an over during their time together then when Bopara arrived the rate fell to 4.4 an over, so why is it Trott that is blamed.
He is not in the team as a finisher, that's the job of Bopara, Bairstow and Patel.
Bopara failed to do his job by having 54% of his deliveries dot balls at a crucial time.

Kieswetter has scored 43 runs at an av. of 14.3, can you really say that Bell couldn't have done far better than that.
As a wicket keeper his footwork is worse than when he's batting, causing him to take many deliveries far to the side of his body.
Stepping on the stumps as he did was the sign of a rank amateur not a international class keeper.

Bring back Owais Shah and Luke Wright , Keiswetter looks useless outside t20 not to mention he should start learning to catch. It is amazing that they dropped Prior for this series.

Luke Wright? is this a joke?? as for Owais Shah.hes a liability when running and his fielding isnt to flash either..

I disagree with Trott thingy. Rahane had similar strike rate as him, but nobody would have gone after him if India were to lose.

The reality is that england bowlers were found easy to toss around.

And england fielding...nasser hussain has his surname for it - like a Donkey

Agreed on our fielding. We are missing Bell.
