I'm sorry to say - I have to agree.
Lets be honest, the performance was ok; its the finishing.
We were much closer to Man U in Rafa Benitez's tenure. Kenny has failed to take us forward. We as fans allowed sentiment to colour our view who should have been the next boss.
To be fair Liverpool were very slick in the first 8 minutes.
Aggers
First things first.
Ok, Now thats out the way.
Are you really a Liverpool fan? You're calling for Kenny's head after 9 games or so? I thought you guys were the world's best set of fans. What happened to the famous Liverpool support?

when you think how much money Kenny has spent, its a shambles.
He has spent 30m. You want him to go from seventh to champions with 30m?

You really dont wana see the thread just made on your board by your own fan.
Mr Chelsea
I'm not laying all the blame at Kennys door. He deserves the job as long as he wants. But I wont say we are making progress if I don't think we are, I'm too honest for that.
unless you are saying that Torres was a world beater when he left and was a 50m loss to the team then he has spent a lot more than 30m.
Lets forget about where the money came from for a minute
Kenny had around £100m+ to spend. The owners allowed him to spend it.
They didnt say to him.
"This has come from Chelsea so pi s s it up wall if you want because its Chelsea's money"
They gave Comolli and Kenny £100m+ to spend. Out of that £100m. Suarez at 22m looks a good buy. Enrique is decent The rest look a bit iffy.
very iffy. He has built a team capable of winning the 1990 football league division one title but it is a million miles off winning the Premier League. Imagine if Hodgson had spent that much and got the same results.
Yes but if you take 70m of talent away then spend 100m you have only progressed by 30m. Now if we had really spent 100m, then it would be a different story, like Chelsea in the past and now Man City.
so you think Torres was worth 50m then ?
Torres has done nothing yet to justify his price tag. He will need to score a hundred goals for Chelsea before that's the case.
exactly so you can hardly say that 70m of tallent has been taken away.

He was worth 50m to us. Hence why he cost Chelsea 50m.
you seem to be disagreeing with yourselves
"Torres has done nothing yet to justify his price tag"
"He was worth 50m to us. Hence why he cost Chelsea 50m"
Regardless of where the 50m came from, it was spent frivalously.

I don't think so. I think after spending 30m our overall squad and not just first 11 has improved. More spending is needed, to go that bit further but we have to gamble on getting Champions League.
Its ok spending money its wether the players fit in a system of play that will win you games enough consistently ..
it may be a better squad and team than this time last year but I don't think its a patch on the squad Rafa had which gave United a run for their money.
