I don't care about bums on seats
I care about results
Which football team do you support?
I have stayed on topic
I mentioned how I prefer results to attendances
Weak old man!
You then tried to change the topic away from the original one
So have you worked out where the missing fans were?
At home probably watching it on tv
Who cares?
We won
So your argument is the players turned up and the fans didn't?
Fans turned up Warm
32k of them
And they saw us win
Where were they for the last home match?
At home watching it on Tv
So there weren't enough to be at the game then?
Yes, there were enough to fill the last game to capacity.
But they were all at home watching it on TV.
So what you're saying is when some of the normal fans watch the game on TV there isn't enough other Tottenham fans to go to games
What I'm saying is that Tottenham won by 1 goal to 0 putting them top of the group
We beat Arsenal 2-1 and also watched as West Ham went down
Warm Feet (myhammers) :
When some of the "normal" fans watch the game on TV, so do the others.
The question you really should be asking is :
The attendance of the last home game was 12,000 less than capacity. Did the Spurs supporters who normally fill the ground to capacity not feel the game was important enough they should turn out in full to support the 2nd 11 ??
And the answer is :
No. Because :
1. Not that important
2. The match was on TV
Article over.
Oops (sorry - was I not meant to do that ?? ) .
Warm Feet loves bums on seats
THudd loves wins
Tottenham did the latter
RDBD :
So what you're saying is that Warm Feet = myhammers ??
You must have a Kyle Walker in your first 11 and second 11 then
"You must have a Kyle Walker in your first 11 and second 11 then"
So what you are saying, is that you agree that the article is other, and you are desperately looking for whatever tenuous themes you can find to avoid the pain this fact gives you
Article is over (ta-da) .
The article is still going
1. Not that important
2. The match was on TV
The 2 reasons you stated above are equally as valid for the other teams who got bigger gates than Tottenham
<quote>
What has happened to the Tottenham support? Are we now saying it's not quite as big as we first thought?"
</quote>
No.
"The 2 reasons you stated above are equally as valid for the other teams who got bigger gates than Tottenham"
Indeed. But not relevant to your original premise (ie fallacy) .
End of article.
maybe for your view - still open for others
So what you are saying is that arguing the amount of support Spurs have, based on their last 2 Europa home game attendances, is a fallacy
Warm Feet, all your articles have been posted on the Spurs board, but you dont seem like a spurs supporter
so ...who do you support and what were their attendances for their last two Europa/Uefa cup ties?
