Agreed, Micah deserves a mention as well.

I agree, had a great game today and very underrated. Milner was quality as well.

Whatever your thoughts on Hughes, I will be forever glad that he also bought Kompany and De Jong (both of which, we got under market value).

Boris...was sat watching the game and I said to my brother-in-law - if Richards was from spain/germany he would get man-of the-match. restored my faith a bit when he got it .

Everyone on the park got an '8' from me today apart from Micah and Milner who got '9s' and Silva who got a '10'.

Not true of De Jong; we got him for £18m when if we'd waited 6 months we could have got him for £1.8m! There's a good argument to be made that buying him for the high price in January made sure we got him and another top club didn't, so in that sense it was good business, but I wouldn't call it 'under market value'!

Also, don't forget Zabba and Lescott were both Hughes' buys.

Still think the guy was a poor manager and a prat, though (as his recent comments have shown), and I don't think the good buys he made are a decent reflection on him seeings that for every good player he bought to the club, two crap/disruptive ones followed.

Che,

I know we could and should have got him cheaper, but would you honestly sell De Jong for less than 18 mill now....? Thats what I meant by under market value

Barry was one of the weakest players today. The sooner he loses his starting place, the better. Squadplayer at best.

Barry was the first big name that City signed, and was at the start of the 'new citeh'. I think you should be grateful that he joined you when he did. Most of your players today, are only at City as success was a forgeone conclusion, having witnessed the spending power of the club.

Garbage. He's not a big name and hasn't performed like he should have.

Really - how often have you been to the CoMS???

Barry is a good player, on the wane a bit now and a bit of a worry at int level. However I fear that he overshadowed alot of the 10yrs he gave us by the manner in which he left. Stating he wanted to to Liverpool for ECL and ended up at CoM who the season before had finished c.10th. Still we got good value for him at £12m, which we used to buy Milner ans then..... Sold him for £24m and then..... we stopped buying anyone and now we're 11th. Cant balme city for that.
