Batman Shootings and Sandy Hook count, I guess. In terms of bombings you probably have to go back to 7/7 in the western world.
In the UK We had the failed liquid bombs in 2006, we had the 2007 failed bombs in Tyga Tyga and Glasgow Airport, we've had many arrests. Can't fault our security services, there's been many threats since 7/7 and we've dealt with all of them so far. Full thanks to them
Europe we've had 7/7, we've had the hostage situation in France, Madrid Bombings... many more I've probably neglected to mention.
India is an example of a country that gets attacked regularly. Have some family over there, there's at least 7 or 8 attacks a year, major ones in 2006 and 2008, massive one in the 90s where hundreds died.
We are lucky to live in such a safe country, IMO.
Easy way to stop an argument in any given situation.

Thats it Penguin, I suppose its frequency is every couple of years!
India is hugely targeted.
My family who live there are lucky that they live in a downbeat area, but i still worry as it can happen anywhere.
Anyone who thinks this is the work of North Korea is a fool
Thats just added 2+2 and coming up with 5 mate

It's terrifying. Mumbai 08, I was watching TV having been on holiday to some of those places that were target in the past.
Really brings it home.
Yeah Penguin
My father has frequent visits to India and was actually in India when the attacks happened [not in Mumbait though]
Never been so frightened or tearful in my life

It's stressful mate. Things like this make you realise how precious life really is.
I'm going to be so bad at life. Just never gonna leave the house or anything. I like the idea of going to big cities and America especially but this stuff is scary. Nice knowing that where I live now is very very unlikely to have something like this happen. Why do people do this stuff? Won't pretend I'm the most uber-compassionate when it comes to events like this, yes in time I might even laugh at the inevitable sickipedia jokes but that's probably to do with the fact that I just don't understand why it happens.
Agreed.
You take it for granted really just how easy we have it. This country goes into a standstill when there's an inch of snow, and yet in middle east and America, people are haunted due to these things
Life is short and very precious and no one on this miserable rock has the right to take anyones life by force!
Your life not only belongs to you, but it belongs to your friends, the people you work with and more importantly your family!
What right does anyone have to take that??? We are no different than any animal on his earth!
Andrei, don't feel bad. Most people are like you. I don't understand it either.
John you're a decent person mate and you should never live in fear of anything!

I was proper scared of the tube after 7/7, took me a while to get over that.
Penguin that would be horrible
IMO as long as you live your life to the best you're fine with this. I try to live my life in a way that if I died tomorrow I would be content with what I had done and have very little regrets about it.
...Which makes me kind of fear these things less.
