If my parents were interested in football and already had a team no doubt I'd have supported that team instead. I wouldn't let my kid be a United fan Not that there aren't United fans that aren't good people. People just seem to support who's doing well. You see lots of people right now . There aren't many Chelsea fans my age that I know and absolutely no Man City fans but in another 10 years when they're my age they'll probably all be City fans. People who say Dortmund are their second team right now are just dreadful. Wonder if they'll still say that in 10 years when they're a lower-mid table Bundesliga team.

'If my Dad wasn't my Dad, I'd hate him - as a football fan. He just supports whoever is doing well. That takes the soul out of winning trophies in my opinion.'

Growing up supporting Arsenal I like my team to be the underdogs. I'd get bored if we were the Invincibles every season. If we win the league it'll feel great after those years of coming close on occasions and drifting away on others. But I think there's something about the journey. What happens when you get to being a good team not winning anything to a really good team winning everything every year? I think I'd be happy with the progression but might get bored. Arsenal might be the new Man United with loads of THOSE fans. Although I'm sort of one of those. Just not a turdster.

Your children should support Swansea

Your point regarding Dortmund is so right. You could even ask if they were supporting Dortmund as little as five years ago, when they WERE a mid-table outfit. Unfortunately, that's football, and it's one of the parts of the football that annoys me the most.

When I was coming through school, I didn't know a single Chelsea fan until they started doing well. I actually don't know any City 'fans', apart from my Dad. The United fans in London are such cuunts. The ones on Twitter are even worse.

I am a dreadful person for 'supporting' Dortmund when they weren't so good (not very well, I didn't/couldn't watch any of their games, I just looked out for their results), then I stopped for no reason and in the last few seasons started 'supporting' Schalke (although I do genuinely aim to go and see them one day). Am I a hipster? Maybe.

I remember in primary school I never saw a Chelsea shirt until I was nearly in secondary school, it was weird to see them. I think there's a twitter account that posts tweets and Facebook posts from foreign Man United fans which are brilliant. Not following it for some reason. Should do.

Deportivo are much more hipster.

I remember tweeting something about Deportivo, another Depor fan RTed it then said something about how big Depor were to have followers from England

Kent preaching Depor to the masses. He'll go to the Riazor when they've done a Wolves and are in the third division.

There's this Beijing 4 Lyfe account. It's a bit forced, but it's quite funny.

Deportivo still 22,000 strong in Adelante

posted on 13/11/13

Loads of twenty-something Depor fans lumbered with that crap team they started supporting when they were decent in the early 2000s or whenever it was.

I guess I could say that Udinese are my 'hipster' team. However, I don't think that they have many fans. I've liked them since we played them back in 2011.

Di Natale's towering header and penalty miss (saved ). #DiNataleMASSIVERESPECKT etc. but he really is a great player and a great guy.

Any football fan who has ever seriously used the word 'banter' in the sense that has developed over the last couple of years is a really bad person and should be left behind while we all go to Mars.

A fair amount of Utd fans in Kent. Probably the only glory hunter team seeing as it's close to London. No City fans really. Quite a few Liverpool.

Glory hunter Kent looking to bask in Arsenal's shadow when he could've supported Maidstone FC. Dreadful person.

Maidstone United. MUFC.

Doing well now, top of the Isthmian League, below Conference South after getting promoted last year, their first year in the new ground. Before they'd been borrowing Ashfords I think, after going bust in the late 80's. Now I see Maidstone shirts sometimes

I was gutted for Udinese, and Di Natale in particular when Maicousel decided to be smart-ass with his penalty. That was his last chance I feel. He's not getting any younger.

There are quite a few Liverpool ones. Probably because of a) their parents supporting Liverpool (possibly glory hunting) when they were good or b) Champions League final. About the same number as Arsenal, not as many as United.

Was it Maicosuel's penalty? Can't remember. Thought it was Di Natale.

Maidstone vs. Hereford soon then. If that happens we should definitely go.

Maidstone get very big attendances for their level. They usually get at least 1500, sometimes around 2000. Will grow hopefully.

We've only got one sort of famous follower haven't we Andrei? Hope we get another.

Hereford get about that.

What, PeepShowQOTD? That newspaper guy? Can't even remember which newspaper now. Wish there was some way to sort followers by how many followers they've got and how many times they've RTd or faved your tweets.

What would you do if Gedion Zelalem followed us?

posted on 13/11/13

Buy a Gedion Zelalem Arsenal shirt

posted on 13/11/13

Might buy a Rosicky one while he's still playing for us, will look silly if I get one after he's retired and he is my fave player.

posted on 13/11/13

Yeah, it was Maicousel's penalty. He'd only joined the club about a month previous to that.
