Morning
Good news on the job but cacky news on the wage packets timing RAP.
two things put me in a good mood this morning...
1) i got to put some petrol in the car...
2) i didn't run out of petrol on the way to the station
I hate walking!
It's such a fix.
----------------------------
you seem shocked by this!
I won the carling with Norwich last season on FM, the only prem team i met was bolton in the final
I still havent slept since midday yesterday
meh, i have never and will never care about the Carling. I think it should go back to it's roots and be a voluntary competition... or scrapped entirely.
It's not like it has any history, invented in the 60's to help clubs pay for floodlights to be installed and make some money out of them with midweek games.
I have had two important deadlines for my course due in at 4 today. Want to get a 1st so have to work my blooody socks off
ZZ
I don't know, I'd be absolutely thrilled to see Liverpool get to any final these days.
------------------------------------------
thing is though fred, if you were to finish 4th and win the carling, is that really any better a season than just finishing 4th?
To me it wouldn't be... because i just don't rate the carling... i just think of it as a reserve trophy, not a first team one.
A trophies a trophy at the end of the day, it takes pressure off of your team to win another one. Plus, as Man Utd have done in the past, it is a good way to build momentum to win trophy after trophy.
A player would look at a side and much rather sign for a team where he can win silverware, no matter how poor the trophy is.
Arsenal have plenty of history at wembley too, and the FA is entirely different... the league cup has just always seemed like a pointless add-on. much like the inter-toto used to be.
Each to their own and all that, I just don't personally rate it as worthwhile.

Obviously Im not fussed if we get knocked out of it, yet I would love to see Spurs win it again.
