It's a trophy, and that's what football's all about. No point in playing the game if you don't want to win every game and every competition.

So is the youth cup... and while it's nice to win it, I just don't really care if we don't... that's all i'm saying. I just don't feel a season with a carling win is any better than the same season without it.

I saw one of the greatest ever football games in the Emirates cup. Lyon vs Celtic I think, 2-2 Bastos scored a beauty!

That's not what I'm saying though... I'm not saying i don't want us to win them, just that i don't care if we don't, and i wouldn't see any of them, or the carling, as meaning a season is any better or worse than the same season without them.

To me there are only 3 trophies that mean anything... the Premier league, the Champions League and the FA cup.

I enjoy us in the carling cup as we use it to send out the youth team/ reseves as do liverpool, chelsea and man united. Another team in manchester though brings on one of the best strikers in the world after 30 mins

I do miss the CC and Europa though. We have such a big squad that we need to keep our players happy and staying in those competitions means they will be happy

As i've said... i couldn't give two hoots about it. In my mind it isn't a senior trophy, and means no more than the youth cup/reserve league etc. If you win them then you're happy, of course, but if you don't then you're not really fussed.
