I saw an advert for karcher perssure watchers the other night, and had to laugh at the hastily altered version of it to say "all karcher pressure washers can also work off a water butt"
i bet some jobsworth would still make a song and dance over it if they saw you using one though.... you'd probably have to prove you hadn't filled the butt from a tap (which, stupidly, if you did with a bucket would be perfectly legal, but if you did it with a hose, wouldn't )

Bucket's are re-usable. 1 would suffice.

yes, fair point. not quite what i meant, but i will admit that i was visualisng several buckets. but it's either several buckets or lots of journies for one person, if what you are watering needs lots of water.
i simply dont believe that it's practical to use as much water with a bucket (or lots of buckets), hence the ban.
