whatever our style of football is, it seems to be working doesn't it ?
we can't figure it our, and nor it seems can the opposition
Good stats mirf, almost as good as you guessing the year on Real radio of a morning!
mirf..
never has so much been spent on so many by one bloke to get just about the right return....and thats if we get promotion..
and 3 years in, the mistakes are still the same and the periods in lots of games where we look like we have never met and we havent a clue what we are doing are exactly the same...
the unbeaten run will mean nothing if we dont get promoted.. I know it and you probably deep down know it, mr clark on the other hand can use it as leverage to get another job.
by the way..just about everything folks on here have asked for over long periods have finally been put in place by lee clark and we have improved.. but unfortunately, you heard it here first(and sometimes a long time before the management put it into practice)..
two european cups would just be the start if a few of us got together and ran a football team, without being hampered by coaching badges and a career being a professional footballer and constantly trying to make the job look a lot harder than it actually is!!!!
I have to agree with Mirfs points (positive twist) very true and very good ones indeed, But i also totally agree with 38, Deano will only have an alloted amount of cash to throw at Town. When its gone its get real. Personally i would prefer we spent less than Hoyle allows and lower admission fees, I do though know that if Hoyle had sanctioned the signing of Clarkys no1 target (Lambert), We would now easily be an ok champ outfit (relying less on DH) and Clarky would have taken over from Houghton at the Toon, What an ideal world that would have been now !
Just as in Politics & real life,
Left v Right, etc etc...
Mirf AND 38 are both right.
The 'trick' is getting back together !
38's analogy of 'Scouse' & 'Geordie' football knowledge is spot on.
You hear commentators say it all the time, How Arsenal fans are so knowledgeable after years of success...Man U, Villa fans can't be 'hoodwinked', blah blah,
And that chap in the flat cap, who stands on his own darn at the Shay week in week out knows 'Fork Hall' then.....hmmmmm.
Clark will get us up.
It's coming, we all know it.
Some of us are clearly more patient than others, That's all.
Clark was, & still is (IMO) disrespectful in some ways to 'our' club. That I don't like.
At the same time, I think there are just as many in the backroom, behind the scenes hordes, Who could & should do more to make the club better than it is,
Being tykes, We are generally an unexcitable lot. & Moan & Groan just like our grand parents have taught us through the ages.
I'm telling you right now.
If I had Hoyles money, The ground, it's facilities, function & occasion would be light years ahead of what it is now.
But if Alan Lee can command €10,000 per week, My input aint available free.
Mirf. positive as ever,
& no holes in the 'stats'
He's (L C) done it, 40 games unbeaten, end of.
But I also agree with 38,
"With or without you, We will win.....With or without you"
If the 'Forty pieces of silver' prove too much, & Lee is on his way to the Cheese & onion stadium by Tuesday/Wednesday, So be it.
I too think the players we have will still be able to function (who knows- even better) under the 'new Fella', Who ever Dean Hoyle chooses that man to be.
(I still reckon he could persuade Martin O Neil to accept the challenge)
All these people who say they could do a better job as manager. Laughable. Why aren't you doing it then? Surely your current job isn't better paid?
Don't you think you could Andy?
Do you know what - I've had a complete re-think and I now genuinely hope that if Clark is offered the Leicester job, that Deano dosen't stand in his way and lets him go.
Why - well we have a ready made replacement in 38 who'll no doubt come a lot cheaper than Clarky, plus he thinks this mangaement lark is such a "piece of p--s" that he'll have us promoted by next May, no sweat.
So Deano, let Clarky go to Leicester, you know it makes sense and you won't need to hire a coach/tactician either, as 38 is also an expert in this field.
So come on Deano put us all out of our misery and get 38 intalled ASAP, as we are all fed up of waiting to get out of this horrible Division and can't wait to sample life in The Championship, under our saviour 38.
talksport today..Next Leicester City manager ? ....'Lee Clark'.
I think tomorrow he will be otherd the job . wether he takes it or not is another thing. am i bothed if he stays or goes..... i don't give a flying one. cos deano will sort it.
It could be a blessing in disguise...but how much better can we do than we are doing now, realistically ? yeah we've drawn a few, but only unbeatne team in the football league this season, 2nd top, scored loadsa goals...what more do you/we want ???
Jacko
"I want it all, & I want it now"...
seriously.
Lee Clark..Please stay. See it through.
resist the '40 pieces of silver'.
But Loui is , as he says, Never Wrong ?
Deano WILL sort it,
& He'll know now weather Lee is on is way or not. & will already have 'thee' replacement already & waiting..
either way.
We're still going up....
Reight' off to t'Movies, All si thy in't second 'ayf.
If I thought I could be a manager I would go and apply for a position, instead of sitting on my sweaty butt and talking b@ll@cks
to the people who lack a sense of humour or would still miss IRONY if it struck them on the head, i am not applying for the job, i like to be my own boss and i couldnt last more than ten minutes with footballers, i would have to punch a few of them..yes even the heavily tattooed ones who think it makes them look more "dangerous"....
"warriors"???? dont make me laugh!!!!
I told you days ago,
It's nailed on !
He's off... The pattern always repeats,
"At this stage there's been no contact"
"I'll speak with the Chairman on Monday & go from there"
"We'll see, nothing is sorted out at this stage"
next thing the local 'hack' is frantically writing up that evenings 'Headline'..........
Hoyle will have it sussed.
& my money is on .................................
Martin O Neil,
he didn't want to return to Leicester 'cause of the 'Instant promotion' criteria, which could tarnish his previous record at the club....(& that's fair enough I'd say).
But TOWN.
look at it from MON's point of view, Perfect.
Side in a Terrierific league position,
nucleus of a very good team already in place,
A passionate Chairman, who will very importantly provide 'what's necessary' in the January transfer window for his personal tweaks.....
A good all round set up.
Big financial bonus' for promotion success..
he could n't have a better opportunity to show , yet again, How he can bring clubs up from nowhere into contention in higher leagues....(Lets not be fooled - If need be, Deano can definitely 'afford' him)
Martin O Neil.
I reckon the ink is already dry.
Darn, that would be fantastic!
