Well said. Good prospect!
Well done Grayson for bringing him through, though not feeling the right back decison for Lees.
good article.. agreed
Lees the man
We could make him Captain, imagine the headline
"Lees Leads Leeds"
And when we get to the top of the league it'll be..........
Leeds Led by Lees are League Leaders
Difficult to say after a few hours in the Whistlestop
if he gets to good, and transferred it'll be Lees leaves Leeds to lead league
now you're being pessimistic
if Lees Leaves Leeds he'll Leave Leeds to Lead a Lesser League team
Lees looks like a quality player in the making. It must have been difficult for the lad to come into a defence that has been shipping goals on a regular basis, yet he looked at home at CB almost immediately. There is no doubt that he handled the ball unitentionally on Wednesday
MM,you are right about Taylor and Thompson.Charlie is a smashing lad who played in my son`s team for three years until Leeds picked him up at 11 years of age. He had great ability,at that age he just needed to believe in himself a bit more.Obviously the Leeds academy have done a great job with him over the last few years
wow... say that on a Friday night after some vino
Well done Grayson for bringing him through a year too late and after he'd exhausted all other options?
Lees was out on loan last year to get experience which was exactly the right thing to do,as he now clearly a better player for it.
He already had a year on loan the season before.
He was already better than what we had last season.
And why didn't he go straight in at the start of this season?
Grayson, because every body though Paddy would do the job, hind sight is a wonderful thing....
why didn't YOU say on 606 that you think Lees should be brought back from bury... again hindsight is wonderful
I did!
It's not hindsight!
It's the same with Aidy White!
well grayson isn't it easy to say that now ? - did you actually say last season while debating that to solve our defensive errors out lets get Lees back from Bury ?
if you actually said that, then fair enough, but I doubt it !!
"...at the game couldnt even see him handle it but on highlights clearly did, unintentional I am sure."
Intent became irrelevant in the last century!
It is now "deliberate." Holding your hand out that far from your body will result in handling being called against you - in this case a penalty, no question about it.
Having said that, the red card for DOGSO-H was a bit harsh, IMHO.
Don't doubt me, doubt Grayson.
Just because he had a loan doesn't mean he was a championship standard defender last season. That Bury loan was pivotal to his career, without it he'd not have been ready.
Lees red card was out of order. The penalty was enough punishment for the offence.
We've had bad decisions go against us before, we'll have them in the future. Hopefullly somewhere along the line we'll have a couple go in our favour!
Was the Oldham loan pivotal to Aidy White's career seeing as he was playing on the wing?
GK
hindsight is wonderful..... just think if SG had gone to argentina for his holidays 15 years ago, he could of met Lional Messi... he didn't.... sack SG.. get him sacked right now !!!!!!!!
Stop going on about hindsight!
Shouldn't someone at Elland Road have the foresight that some people on here have?
Grayson the point was you said you wanted Lees to be around last season, which you didn't say then, you are working on hindsight...
aslo GK is right, the reason he was on loan in the first place is that he wasn't ready, hence playing L2 football, he played a blinder all season, thus proving himself..
