"fed up of people spouting utter nonsense and speculation on here" ....me too Ok so lets say i take you at face value here. How do you know any of this? And how are you so 100% sure?
He was first approached on Monday, had talks on Wednesday, but won't leave Hull until after the West Ham match. If it was going to be a manager who is out of work, he'd be in place by now.
I got the news on Tuesday morning from someone you have all heard of at Leicester City. I then got 100% confirmation late last night, from the same source.
Ok well i await Monday then
If true, absurd and regrettable.
So you know 100% and the bookies don't? I suggest you put your life saving on it then and double your money at Paddy Power!
"He was first approached on Monday, had talks on Wednesday, but won't leave Hull until after the West Ham match. If it was going to be a manager who is out of work, he'd be in place by now."
So we broke FA rules then???
And if he had talks on Wed and everything went well, they would have appointed him on Thursday to let him prepare for the Leeds match.
Something smells fishy here.
Already taken care of Slack Jack.
Greatness - no rules broken, Hull are completely aware. Nigel didn't want to leave Hull in limbo before todays match. Hull will have the international break to make arrangements.
Like I said, if you don't want to believe me, fine. We'll see on Monday.
The only thing I will say to discredit this post is that I know Lee Clark was offered the job on weds which doesn't fit your timeline.
Would you like to reveal your source?
By the way, I hope it's true as id' happily welcome Pearson back, as i'm sure Waggy would as well!!
Lee Clark was NEVER in the frame. I won't reveal my source, but every one of you will know him.
Sorry I've got a massive Eriksson, whilst I'd love you to be right (respect, but don't understand your position Malling) it's too easy to say I can't name my source but you all know him
So it's a man! Does he have facial hair? I do enjoy a good game of Guess Who.....the Islamic version is rubbish though.
Well unfortunately, I won't name the source, but come Monday, you'll see. A few other people must know, Pearson was 25/1 on Monday. 12/1 Tuesday morning and 4/1 Tuesday evening. That puts some weight behind what I've said.
Pearson switch to city is official.

Thanks for the 1 stars. I'm sure you won't be man enough to apologise next week.

I've not rated your article at all I'vegot....
I always believe that people who start articles like this can wait and bathe in their glory if they're proven correct or crawl under a bush if they are wrong.
Don't worry if you're proven right you can be as smug as you want next week, but if you're wrong ....
Not seen anything from Hulls side of things.
I've got a massive Eriksson - It's nothing personal but there are so many rumours flying around at the moment that I've seen so many of these threads so that is where why I am dubious. Also, you haven't posted for a while so you don't have much credibility to lose over this one. Add to that you can easily change your name if you do get it wrong and there are reasons why it would be easy for you to post this as guesswork.
But if you are right, I'll happily eat humble pie (I hope you're right BTW) .
That's fair enough, I completely understand why people don't believe some random bloke on an Internet forum!
I think he'll be a good appointment. Hopefully we'll get some width back, he'll definitely make us hard to beat.
Plus Shakespeare and Walsh will be back, just as important in my opinion.
I'll tell you what guys. As I reside the other side of the Humber to 'ool in the middle of nowhere, and I have BBC Radio Humberside's commentary match on at the moment (Hull v West Ham), I will let you know if there is any news. I've been listening for fifteen minutes or so and the question of speculation hasn't been raised.
I'll be astonished if Pearson returns. I credit him with more self-respect. But that's up to him.
I wouldn't welcome it. He did a very good job for us, no question - there was nothing inevitable about our immediate bounce-back from Div One, or about our then doing well back in the Championship. But the club now has to go forward, with new thinking and new energy, and very luckily it has the ambition and the finance to do so. Not go back, looking for success where it was found once before. We are playing better football now than we have for a long time, and I honestly believe are just a few course-corrections away from being a damn good side.
I've made no secret of that fact that I think sacking Sven was the absurd act of naive owners. Appointing Pearson to succeed him would be equally absurd, and a backward step, I believe. We might just as well hand the baton full time to Stowell, and retreat back into the shadows of the hardworking and worthy, from which association with an accomplished and world-renowned manager briefly dragged us.
Neither would Pearson's appointment seem likely to be match made in heaven for our Thai owners. He'd be no poster boy for their ambitions in South-Asia , which seem to be a factor in their thinking. As I have said elsewhere, a tight-lipped unsmiling old misery like Pearson isn't going to shift many shirts. I would expect rows, fewer Thai appearances at our games, less excitement generally.
Regardless of massiveE's boundless confidence, I will continue to hope that, for want of a better, we can secure Davies or (better) Jones. Better Pearson than Keane, Keegan, McLaren or Dowie, but all the same, please......no.
Well, the game has just kicked off at the KC and nothing was said in the run up to 3pm. The main commentator is David Burns and if any rumours were circulating he, of all sports presenters, would attempt to get to the bottom of it on 'live' radio.
For all that, can you remember what it was like to go into games knowing you always had a chance of something? Bar O'Neill, I cannot think of a time we have been more confident as a club than under Pearson. I would be delighted to have him back.
