Hull refuse permission to talk to Pearson!

Why two weeks before approaching a manager?

My best theory on this is because the club had already spoken to Nigel's agent and Nigel didn't want to talk about it until the international break. If this is the case, Pearson will push the Hull chairman and we will have our new manager soon.

Other theories could be that the delay is because O'Neill turned us down, or Pearson isn't first choice, or the owners have been really careful doing their homework, or...they don't know what they are doing!

What's your pick?

Yes that sums it up

All along I've been hoping the owners will spring a surprise and announce someone not on the list potential candidates. I now think it's possible they have picked the fans choice. IMO Pearson would be a backward step, if we have to pick the best of a bad bunch, I'd rather have had Hughes

why is it nigels move now? your assuming he wants to leave hull for us? if so i just have a feeling youll be dissappointed.

it is somewhat deflating that this is the first real bit of news after 2 weeks. it does make you wonder what has been happening during this time.

If Nigel wants to come to leicester. And Hull have said no. Then it's up to him to resign.

Exactly, he didn't sound to bothered about the Hull fans during his interview yesterday and the Leicester fans gave him such a good reception when he came back to the Walkers last season. I reckon he's more wanted here at Leicester than at Hull.

Just looked on hull website and ours cant see anything about us approaching them for NP. Unless my computer is lagging.
Wasnt the last thing the board said about the new manager that they would take their time look at all the candidates and would not be saying anything untill the new manager had been chosen? I wonder if SSN picked the rumour up on Twitter.
