I think we may have discovered a new bogey team in between those games.

I see another one of them grey filtered lines, which could only mean one thing, one of the Leeds haters has had another fit

ONE SIMON GRAYSON!

Jog on south.

Play offs beckon this season.

Grayson has improved our league position season on season.

Nearly gave this 5* until I saw the 'cementing mid-table finish'!!

As Frank says Play-Offs beckon....

No he hasn't, Frank.

He's made us worse season on season.

You're buying into the Bates propaganda.

I'm being realistic Frank, its how you finish a season & our record over the past two seasons at the 'business end' has been abysmal.

I feared relegation after Wed, i really did, i simply couldn't see how that defence of ours was going to cope with another 30+ games.
Credit goes to all the players today, it was a great win but they won't achieve promotion until Grayson sees a shrink & sorts his head out.

He will run his favourite the players into the ground again & we will start losing games from Feb onwards.

Here's to a top ten finish!

League and cup matches to date under SG's management:

P W D L W%
156 79 38 39 50.64%

First season - 4th League 1
Second Season - 2nd League 1
Third Season - 7th Championship
Fourth Season - currently 7th Championship and on an upward trend....

Is this all Bates Propaganda?!?

Now GO show us your evidence....

"on an upward trend"..

posted on 6/11/11

You obviously don't understand what an upward trend is then Rev...so I'll make it simple for you - it means ongoing improvement over a period of time - in our case year on year under SG's management

The season before he arrived we finished on 91 points, he finished the next season on 84.

The next season we only improved by 2 points and had one of the worst runs in our history which included losing 4 in a row without scoring.

In the Championship you can only judge us against the other League 1 teams. Norwich finished even further ahead of us than they did in League 1 and Millwall were just behind us again.

This season we've only beaten the teams you'd have expected us to beat, today aside, and have had some terrible performances and the worst defeat in our history. How can you say we're on an upward trend after losing 5-0 at home?

He's had 3 years at the club and has not built anything, we're still seeing farcical situations that are embarrassing the club.

It's a very simplistic view to take that he's improved us year on year. If you cared about the club and bothered to look a little deeper, you would see it's not true.

posted on 6/11/11

So we are in exactly the same position we actually finished in last season... our results are erratic to say the least... We've suffered our worst loss at home in 30 odd years recently...

Excuse me for asking but what's 'upward' about that?

posted on 6/11/11

I meant a season on season upward trend.....and all trends have blips in them too - yes ours have been major blips at times but stay positive - onwards and upwards with SG and the Mighty Whites......

Kevin Blamewell was the worst manger we've ever had as he had money to spend at the time (Hulse, Healey, Cresswell, Robbie Blake) & produced the worst display in a final ever when he was tactically over run by a cowboy manager in 'Boothroyd'

They are fools mate.

posted on 6/11/11

The only farcical things which embarrassed the club are those do called supporters who seem to want us to fail do they can have a go at the manager. When we lose or draw they 'create' articles like they were going out of style. When we win they don't bother creating articles but just have a go at those who do, and fail to see anything positive in the outcome.

I've just explained to you why it's not a season on season trend, you haven't addressed any of the points I raised, you just ignored them and carried on with your blinkered view.

Blackwell needed to spend money, he didn't inherit the likes of Becchio, Howson and Snodgrass, and he got to the final when Grayson couldn't even finish in the play-offs.

And why are you calling him Blamewell?

posted on 6/11/11

GO
Blamewell blames everyone but himself.
Since leaving us he left Luton in a right state & shafted his favourite club Sheff United.

And now he is out of management altogether.

Grayson won't ever be out of a football job.

Embarrassing is the key word mate.

Is that not exactly what Grayson does too, South?

When have you ever heard him take any responsibility? It's always down to the players according to him.

posted on 6/11/11

Grayson does but he has 2 promotions on his CV.
Blackwell has diddly squat & is currently one of the 2.7 million out of work.
He won't get another job in football either, he's finished & leaves football as the worst Leeds united, Luton Town & Sheffield United manager in history!

League 1 promotions don't count for a lot, especially when one was at the biggest club ever to be at that level.

Colin Calderwood got Forest up and he's just been sacked by Motherwell.

Paul Sturrock got Wednesday up, what's he doing now?

posted on 6/11/11

Sturrock is now at Southend & are top of League Two.

Blackwell was our worst manager & Alan Clarke was the 2nd worst.
He paid Man City £900,000 for Peter Barnes who was the best winger in England at the time, & played him as a centre forward.

He was clueless, Grayson doesn't come close to these two.

Sturrock being in League 2 proves my point.

Blackwell did better at Leeds than Grayson.

Apart from Dino Zoff i can't name another goalkeeper who has become a successful football manager.

He was absolutely useless for us & carried his form in the play off season to the next.

Weren't we 4th bottom of the Championship when Wise took over?

He then went on to ruin other clubs.
I reckon he's finished in football.
