Adam Johnson, do you think bill is made of transfer funds!
352 can be as defensive as a 451 can be offensive.

Easy
Howard in goal, he is a good goalie
A back three of Distin, Johnny and Jags giving better distribution from the back.
A midfield or Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Barkley and Barnes
and a front pair of Bily and Saha.
I would only want £1M a year as boss too

As you seem lazy and unable to look at my original post I have stuck it up for you.
I am not asking the two to play LB and RB, I am making them part of a midfield 5!
Three defenders at the back to mark in essence the one striker 95% of teams play should allow for more than enough cover.
Also how can an oppositions wide player get forward as much when they are markingin a 5 man midfield with just 4 players?

But I dont plan to use Royston as a WB, he is not even in my selection.
Why do you think Fellani is in the side I picked, I can tell you its not for his defence bursting surges forward.
It also allows for the inclusin of barkley (box to box midfielder) in the side.

Again this is my team, what i feel will work and get players into suitable position.
3-5-2 ?
Did you know The Stone Roses are back?
Phil,
i know you have some, shall we say, novel ideas re football tactics.
The innovative idea of bombarding a goalkeeper with free kicks whilst taking advantage of the sun shining in his eyes was memorable to say the least.
I must take you to task on your latest formation.
3-5-2 does not work in modern football, otherwise we would have teams playing in the top divisions of Europe playing 3-5-2 every week.
To my knowledge i dont know of 1 team playing that formation.
I would be grateful if you can let me know of any teams that play 3-5-2.
Tell me why it won't work?
Ask the 20 managers in the prem.
If they wont tell you,ask the mangers from La Liga,Serie A,Bundesliga etc,etc
So you don't know why then
Yes i do.
It wont be sunny most Saturdays
Its okay that you don't know.
Have you ever considered the Ricky Tomlinson part
Phil,
I will try in simple terms where your 3-5-2 formation does not work.
Quite a lot of teams play 4-3-3 nowadays.
Do you know of a manager, any manager, who would leave his defenders 1 on 1.
3 on 3 if that helps to clarify it for you.
You still not managed to make a valid point on this.....yet
3-5-2 ?
My ar$e....as Mr Barett would say.
He builds nice houses, but what does Mr Barett know about football
Ooohh, the spill cheque people are here
Are you going to give your counter argument against my point re 3 defenders marking 3 forwards?
