Never forget his goals against Aberdeen on the final day of the season to win the title. Pure genius.

To me, a "legend" is someone who epitomises a club or achieves a level of greatness that few others achieve.

None of those things describes Paul Gascoigne.

He was a good footballer, I'm not denying that, but a legend?

John Greig, Billy McNeill, Ally McCoist, Henrik Larsson are legends because they and their clubs were entwined and they had something about them that drew you towards them as a supporter.

Sadly, the word legend has become devalued as it's so often bandied about nowadays.

Thats exactly what he did. Very few players who play for Rangers in the future will ever reach the level he reached. A pure legend

He will certainly go down as a Spurs legend, and probably Newcastle aswell

I don't think it'd take long to read ur book. We were trying to separate on field from off field activities. Working with your "logic" Jinky was a drunken boat thief but most sensible people know different.

You thik Gazza's a legend, Gazza thinks Raul Moat's a legend.

The same Jinky who has a European Cup winners medal?

With Gazza you couldn't even make it out the CL group stages.

Ah've spoken to Jinky on 606. He's a good bloke

Not a Rangers legend for me as he wasn't at the club long enough.

Over his whole career including international level? Maybe. His first club was Newcastle. Maybe you could start by asking their fans what they think of him.

Gazza's thoguht process off the field is not the topic of debate. His football skills are. On the field he was a legend. A top class player.

The point is he played for a major european club at the time.

Even England fans would cite him as one of their most influential players of the modern game

And Larsson played for Barca for about 5minutes. Most of his time was as a sub. Then he spends 2 minutes at Man U. End of career highlights

They hadn't even won a European trophy when he played for them and hadn't won a league title in 20 years!

Give it up esc
