Good article, and it is completely in keeping with the media perception that somehow we are punching above our weight. We are not.
It has taken a few years to assemble this team, and now at last they are starting to perform to a very consistent level. Long may it continue.

More importantly, acquired players where the ROI has been far quicker.
One valid criticism of the club is that although the NET spending on new players has been well-managed over the ENIC era, when you examine the GROSS spending on players, quite a few of them (Bentley etc) have shown a far poorer ROI.
Fortunately, this is something that Levy appears to have realised over the past 3-4 yrs (acquisitions, ability, contracts etc) , and is now controlling diligently.
