Predictions in tonight.

how lucky were man utd today

2 pens which imo very soft changed game completley after chelsea took them apart early second half.

people will say man utd should have had a first half pen but welbeck started going down outside the box

posted on 5/2/12

1 was soft, but the 1st half decision went against us, it may not have been a pen, but it was possibly a red card....

Credit to both teams, a great game of football, a brilliant comeback from us!

wouldnt say a red card a yellow maybe but he did get the ball tbf also it was a foul from rafael on torres in the build so shouldnt have happened anyway.

wouldnt say it was a great comback the first 2 goals was massive luck but after that you dominated and deserved the equalizer in the end

Results in some time today. Was stuck in snow last night, took ages to get home.

First 2 goals were massive luck?! Only the 2nd penalty is even slightly dubious.

Slightly? He moved to kick Ivanovic if Chelsea had have got a pen like that there'd have been uproar.

Second was harsh too Sturridge caught evras foot and he went down like he'd been shot

As far as I'm concerned, the first half penalty should have been given, the first penalty in the second half was also a penalty and the second one was harsh. But I remember Sturridge doing exactly the same against United last season?

First half with young was a dive, second half was a foul but it was outside of the box as shown by all the replays of it.

First one in second half could go either way so I'll give you that. Second never a pen in a million years.

So at 3-1 we were actually comfortable the second goal changed the game. You got a lot of luck

Last season it was Zhirkov who was fouled by Smalling. Smalling left his foot out, Ivanovic moved his away and Welbeck kicked him so very different imo

And you got penalty luck at the bridge last year in CL and 2 offside goals earlier this season. Hopefully we are due some luck now against Man Utd

Morning guys.

Awful feeling leaving SB yesterday. Not sure how we got 3-0 up but thought it was our day. Sadly proved wrong. First pen looked a pen, second was a Robert Pires special for me, he made sure there was contact before going down. Ref fell for it. Even out first half tackle which could have gone against us. De Gea's save at the end was a bummer. Thought it was in.

Urgh.

Still, this morning. Capello.

Yeah I thought that apart fom Mata Essien Luiz and Ivanovic we were quite bad yesterday, Cech and Torres were good/ok but Torres should have taken his shot when he could. Still what a cross! And good to see Essien playing well.

Capello Is brilliant lol

And it was without Terry, Ramires, Cole, Drogba too

Torres is playing ok just lacking confidence in front of goal.

I did smile when Utd fans were rubbing it in saying they came back with all their injuries. Only really Vidic and Nani out yesterday. We were missing 5 regulars. A pity JT eD out. We'd have held in ok had he been there.

Still, on we go. Everton away next. Tough but very winnable.

We had Cleverly, Vidic, Nani, Jones, Smalling, Fletcher, Anderson, Lindegaard all out actually.

Kroos/Cazorla or Kagawa

Hardly first team regulars other than the two I mentioned. There is no doubt who was hit hardest by injuries.

Most managers are blinkered. No doubt Utd deserved a point and were the better team but a manager needs to support his side and knows they'll be watching.

Ferguson is exactly the same. He creases me up when he moans about Utd never getting decisions off referees.

I love how he blamed the linesman though he never flagged for fouls it was Webb who gave them

Anyway we need to win everton really I'd play

Cech
Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Bertrand
Essien Romeu Lampard/Miereles
Sturridge Torres Mata

I can't stand seeing Malouda in the team he's awful! Bertrand needs a chance too because Coles been poor other than that it basically picks itself atm

We need Ramires and Terry back for CL though, No Ramires = slow midfield and no Terry = no leadership

Essien coming back is quite big for Chelsea. Fully fit and on top of his game his is a midfield beast imo!

Is he not better in the centre thought LSTD?

Sturridge on at RW, Mata at left and Torres CF should be deadly if only Torres would start scoring!

Liverpool v Tottenham tonight :D

Predo's?

Really quite a hard game to predict with Liverpool beating Man City and Man Utd recently.

Spurs have played some awesome football this season and can always catch teams on the break with their pace going forward espicially Bale.

I will go for 1-2 Spurs

Draw unless a sending off. Liverpool do well in these games generally

And yes that would be CM in a Ramires role but less running now obviously. I'd rather Romeu start that Miereles if it can be avoided though!

Hopefully a draw. Don't really want either side to win. Think Spurs might nick it though.

As for Everton, they are good in the air so a little concerned about our ability to keep them out do will need to outscore them. I would be tempted to have Essien alongside Romeu with Malouda and Meireles wide, Mata central pulling the strings, Torres up top. Rest Sturridge. He has not been on top form for a bit now. Not going to happen though.

It will be same old

Cech
Ivanovic Cahill Luiz Cole
Essien Miereles
Sturridge Mata Malouda
Torres

Which is fine but ATM Sturridge Miereles and Malouda are letting the attack down and Cole the defence. Can't wait for us to rebuild in summer! Hopefully a few Hazard type players come in

posted on 6/2/12

Not too bothered who wins tonight, just hoping for goals. Tempted to put on Spurs at -1, although my head says differently.

Not sure I see a great rebuild happening at Chelsea. Hazard, De Bruyne and a new forward to replace Drogba?
