The comic tale of a 17 yr old ball 'boy' (Clive Dunn) and his futile attempts to prevent a French professional footballer (Gerard Depardieu) from retrieving the ball and getting it back into the field of play by throwing himself on top of it as if it were a bomb about to go off.
