I've always tried to respond to the post rather than the poster. If someone comes up with a good reason to support Kean then I'm happy to discuss it, I'm yet to hear one though...

I enjoy a good debate and a good bit of banter, or reckon Big Col was as important to our title win as Shearer, Olsson is a better winger than Hoilett et al...

Pie its the filter I dont like!If people/posters want to use it ok but my preference is dialogue but in WoWs case its a hard job to reason with him/her.As for Kean and Venkys you have to be on another planet to think that these clowns are going to turn things around.Who Knows Venkys might give him a war chest of say 4 and a half million pounds for the January transfer window, there are loads of players in the SPL.

The only people that filter are the ones who can't stand to read other peoples opinion because they think that there's are the only one that matter.

Damien im not in agreement because if someone filters its on the cards that you get tat for tat(swear filter) and vice versa and if this trend continues its going to look like a minefeild,I must say that one person started this.

What a strange comment.....

Maybe some of us have better things to do with out time than listen to people purely trying to irritate and argue. Just a thought.

And their you are starover you don't agree, but that's fine debating is a good thing as people have differing opinions.

Irritating posts are not only unwelcome but shows a lack of finesse or debating talent so I must side with OOJW as I most likely would have done the same until I thought a change of tack is needed(for myself).

I am hopeful things settle and we can ALL start again.

It is easy to get het up and angry at times as we are all passionate about the Rovers. However, certain guidlelines must be adhered to and maintained for the good of all and i think the line is crossed when people argue for the sake or arguing and refuse or struggle to identify valid points made by others. A lack of context is also a sure sign of immature debating and to be honest I would rather leave this forum and contribute elsewhere than be subjected to mind-numbingly boring posts and arguments every day.

By the way, nothing I said on onlyonejackwalkers thread 'junior' was offensive. I was sticking to the topic and didnt post personal insults or anything.

I've have logged out and looked at the thread and realised I've been filtered, but I don't know what for.

Me too.well put!

Wow try to get on with your fellow Rovers!I also have been quite vexed with some of your post ,answers and retorts.I am now trying to accept you as moronic as some of your posts are.

There was nothing wrong with what I said though. Frustrating when your comment lasts 2 minutes and is gone. I admit I deleted some comments when I was new. I realised it is immature so I stopped.

Strange comment indeed. There are other better reasons for putting someone on the filter.

Not really. I've filtered wow because he posts irritating, distracting garbage on every single thread. Its like a bunch of adults talking and a bored child dancing round them shouting rubbish. Would the adults constantly stop their conversation to converse with the child's pointless exclamations? No, they'd ignore it. I just find it easier to ignore wow with the filter on, its the internet equivalent of ear plugs. Of course the same argument could apply to our current resident WUM Wayne but like all these sad cases I don't expect his shelf life to be long. I suppose he'll be a source of minor amusement until he gets bored and goes the way of Uncle_Anaethesia, onlyonejohnbarnes etc.

posted on 24/11/11

The thing is I've seen uncle actually post the occasional half decent post. Wayne's actually got involved on the post about homophobia.

You have to wander why some stalk boards merely to irritate, especially as on the whole it lacks humour...

The art of debate is to be able to take your own opinions and be able to discuss them without blinkers on. So take Vins opinions on the Walkers, that's poor as blinds the ability to see subtleties. I like to beleive that even with my dislike for Mr Kean I can listen to anyone trying to justify his tenure and will happily change my OPINION if someone can put a convincing case forward

People filter and delete for all different reasons. In my earlier post I was just stating one reason why I think it is done, personally a can't be bothered to do either.

posted on 24/11/11

You stated it was the only reason.

I just thought I would bring this debate out in the open,im glad ive done this has it seems to have cleared the air a little! It might even help one or two posters to think before they post things.
