Disregarding your dig at Spurs I have to agree with you. In my experience the Liverpool fans are the most deluded creatures on the planet.

Aaahhh i see.

Quite clearly you get all your football knowledge from the back of the daily star, the caughtofside website and occasional glimpses of match of the day.

I'm not having a dig at Spurs. In fact I'll be suprised if they finish anything lower than 5th . I just don't rate Defoe at all

Lawro thinks Saurez has, along with Silva and RVP, been the best player in the league this season. I know it's a cliche' to call Liverpool fans deluded, but there's a lot of evidence. Saurez has done nothing special, he's just been OK, nothing more.

Clearly you haven't seen him play much. He is a class act.

Liverpool are a bigger club than you. Sorry.

And the tumbler is a class act. Would have thought Arsenal fans could appreciate skill, movement and speed of thought better than most?

.......
I'm not saying he's not a good player, he is, but RVP has been 10 times the player this season. RVP is a player I would describe as a class act.

Who is actually comparing him with RVP though? The OP's mate. One person. Lawro didn't say he was better than RVP but said that RVP, Suraez and Silva have been the best players in the league this season whcih I would say is true.

Ask most level headed Liverpool fans what they think about RVP they would say he was class and we would absolutely love to have him in our team next to Suarez. Is RVP a better goalscorer? On current form yes. But I think Suarez has some qualities that RVP doesn't have either.

He looks good in patches but I don´t think he´s as good as Liverpool fans first thought when Suarez arrived in January.

Reminds me a bit of how everyone thought Arshavin was going to rule the Premiership after a great start only to fade away over time.

4 goals in 13 PL games this season for Suarez isn´t exactly setting the world alight.

Suarez has 4 goals in 1026 minutes of PL football.
Torres has 2 goals in 529 minutes of PL football.

Both are averaging a goal every 250 minutes of football.

If Torres is having a bad season then so is Suarez.

Suarez is a good player but from what I've seen, he always gets isolated upfront and tends to get frustrated. Either you need to get him a better strike partner or get some midfielders who can link up properly with him. Don't blame him for getting frustrated though when he sees the likes of Kuyt and Henderson miscontrolling the ball nearly every time

Defoe - I'm not even going to go there. It's an insult to RvP

Defoe 7 in 15 - isnt exactly bad though is it?? I know RVP is on a bit of an impressive run but 1 in 2 is pretty much what is expected of any decent striker

A very myopic way of looking at things SuperbFrank. Its about the toher things he does. If you watched the game yesterday you would see how hard he worked up front on his own. He does that in almost every game. Has Torres worked that hard for you?

He is also much better at linking up play that Torres ever was at Liverpool. His hold up play is better. His passing is better, his movement is on par with Torres. Torrs was a better finisher than Suarez. I say was, as whe was at Liverpool. Havent; seen it at Chelsea so far.

I´m not denying that Suarez has a high work rate but it doesn´t seem to convert into many goals or assists.

Suarez only has 4 goals and 2 assists in the PL this season which isn´t great.

Emile Heskey also used to have a good work rate. It didn´t change the fact that he couldn´t hit a barn door with a banjo.
