he says he wants to stay so I'll guess we'll say how badly he wants it. I think he'll be more prepared to take a wage hit if we qualify for the CL as I'm pretty sure that's what he wants as do most of the squad now worryingly!
Interesting opinion on Adabayor and its good to see the OP has not based his opinion on the fact that he is better than Crouch therefore we should be happy.
Firstly I dont think we have seen enough of him to make a decent long term judgement but lets look at positives and negatives.
Positives
As a side he has improved our shape and the way we play.
His work rate is extremely good
His attitude has been very good so far
He has been scoring goals
He does bring other players into the game
Negatives
Can seem to be a bit wasteful (maybe at times he is trying a little bit to hard as time goes on I think he will relax and score more)
Reputation is not great (Sorry but he may have had genuine reason to be unhappy at other clubs until he does it for us then its not a factor)
Control and first touch not fantastic at times (again trying to hard possibly)
As an overall positive point we look a good side when he is playing and he has been a decent part of a great run of results.
Conclusion
Jury still out he still has a fair bit to prove but he has a season to prove it not 12 games so lets have a good look about March and then decide if he is the answer or not.
I hope he has such an impact that we cant wait to sign him but obviously wages etc. will also affect that decision.
Opinion.
So far so good but lets give him a bit of time to settle and hopefully he will be worth signing permanently.

Negatives : ALLEGED current wages at <Citeh>
RDBD
I think I covered that by saying

I know his supposed wage is 170K a week and I personally would not pay that sort of money for Adebayor.
