Guess we know who gave this a 1 star

I think there were only to positions to consider after the Wolves game. Drogba/Torres and Lampard/Miereles

For me I would have kept Meireles, but otherwise AVB has it right.

Torres showed nothing against Liverpool to warrant a start ahead of Drogba.

I gave it one star also because I feel sorry for TBK

Glad Bertrand has made the bench, hopefully shows he's working his way up AVB's thinking. I would have started him but that was hardly going to happen...yet.

Surprised Miereles didn't start, maybe AVB wants t save him for Valencia but then Romeu also starts.

I don't mind about Drogba/Torres as both haven't been so good recently so neither deserves to start over the other

I heard somewhere that Alex and Anelka were being forced to train with the reserves..

Is this true?

This is better than your usual match thread.

Not a disaster if he is suspended as long as we don´t get any injuries to our other midfield players.

Really looking forward to see how Romeu does today.

I like this player a lot, but we have to remember he is young and new to the PL. He is going to have some games where he struggles but I really hope he has a good one today.

Newcastle playing with 3 strikers might mean they put pressure on him when on the ball so today will be a big test in front of an emotional Newcastle crowd.

In fact I think we may end up playing more 4-3-2-1 but let´s see how it pan´s out
