Yes griff it was the Robin Hood, I can vaguely remember that game it was virtually the last minute of the game wasn't it, my memory is not too clever now, I have just hit my 40's
there are 2 Griffs, Joe is my lad. Send me a request Geezer. Just hope Alfreton's big games don't clash with derby's
Fair play to you Griff, I like a man who supports the lower league teams, I used to do it regularly myself, but like I said above I'm too busy these days. SDS asked me last season to go to a few Burton Albion games, of which he really enjoyed. I might take him up on his offer next season!!
Golden Arrow used to be a good pub on Thursday nights
Goldern Arrow....Haven't been in there for a few years. I think its called the Station now....Do you know the area TEG
Wassa.....Takes alot of time watching 2 teams tho' I went to around 50 games last season...I've managed to get to 2 in a day before.
Amber,is it right that you have signed Dan Lowson ?.If so,he is a very good keeper, and could easily solve your keeper issues.
Seen Flint a few times, and Derby may well regret their penny pinching !
TEG I used to go to the Peacock, Anchor and Devonshire in Oakrthorpe/Pentrich on a Thursday night...The dev was known as "Grab a Gran" on a Thursday
Yeah Lowson's signed a 1 year full time contract today. Where have you seen him play. He was at Ilkeston before they packed up.
Saw him at Ilkeston and one or two other FCN games, really looks the part to me.
Lowson is dedicted ,used to drive from the northeast for Training at Ilson as well as league games
Yeah I think he comes from South Shields. He used to travel down with Ben Pringle to Ilson. I think the crowds at Alfreton may let them down in the Conf. But games like Mansfield and Lincoln at home should be big crowds with large away followings
Yeah me too griffin, used to get solid in them 3 pubs dint it on Thursdays
good nights tho TEG. Where ar you from. There were some sights in the dev late on.
Amber, your record in FCN suggests you will be fine.Your gates are an issue,in that your budgets will be far below those of Fleetwood,Luton because of them.
Hopefully you will average say 850 ish will should generate enough income.
Out of interest, what are you charging next season in BSP ?
£13 to get for adults and £5 for kids. Junior Reds gt in for £2. You can buy 10 tickets for £110 which can be used for any 10 games during the season and the £12/game after that. Coz I've got a season ticket at Derby I'm getting the 10 game ticket to start off with. When Ilson packed up Alfreton offered to accept Ilkeston season tickets but I don't know if anyone took the offer up.
Think a few did take up your kind offer Amber.Next season we (Ilson ) are charging £7 for 3 divs lower.
Good luck to you next season.
Whats the word on the Hearn fee (50k at a guess ) ?
around £50k with 15% sell on. Not too bad as he was in his last year and Grimsby offered him a 3 year full time contract. Alfreton wouldn't be able to match it in case they go straight down. He made it clear that no matter what was offered to him he was leaving. I suppose you can't stand in their way when they get a better offer. Paul Clayton the other forward has signed for another year tho'
From Sutton I am originally griff
I learnt to drive up there....I used to go ice skating there when I was a kid. Where do you live now TEG. I grew up in Wessington and I used to be able to walk to the peacock on a thursday night. I used to drink in mansfield a fair bit when I was younger.
I live in Mansfield now. How old r ya
36.... When i went up mansfield we used to start at the Red and work the way down to the market place. Wheatshef and anothr on the right. Then a few differnt pubs around the market place. like the Ram. Then up to the horse and Jockey, Yates and then finish at the palace (or whatever it was called) or the village...good nights tho'
