yes going to the chavs means he doesnt understand the rivalry.
as a club we have almost as little time for chelsea as we do for arsenal. luka if you want to go i would prefer you went abroad.. or if it has to be in england then go to man united. do not go to the chavs and get yourself a hot reception back at the lane.. it will be a shame as its been a pleasure watchin you
I don't think speaking the truth is disrespectful is it?
Would you prefer he lied to you?
In the Telegraph it says Modric was talking to them last night, in the Mail it says them. What was Modric doing holding a press conference on his holiday boat??????
sod him if he wants to go
great player but its not like he scores lots and gets loads of assists
VDV can take his position, with the money we make get NEW STRIKER
Modric is AT LEAST 30mill!
Chavs aren't bigger however they have a billionaire owner that bails them out by pumping money in.
That's it !! Without Roman they are NOTHING
Phil McNulty just tweeted this
Strong stuff from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy re. Modric: "We are not prepared to sell, at any price, to Chelsea or any other club"
Anyone who believes the main reason Modric is leaving for the CL or challenging for trophies is seriously naive.
Only recently Modric said that this team must stick together and with a few additions could challenge for the title, and all of a sudden we have no ambition and he wants to leave to Chelsea who have shown interest. Who by strange coincidence will probably at least double his wages....... hmmm I wonder why the sudden change of heart?
Unfortunately for us, Modric is just like 95% of footballers..... a greedy mercenary.
Statement by Levy on the Spurs website.
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/statement-by-club-chairman-daniel-levy-180611.html
"I wish to make it absolutely clear, as I have said previously, that none of our key players will be sold this summer. We are building a team for the future to consistently play at the highest level and retaining quality players is crucial to that.
"In respect of Luka Modric, we are not prepared to sell, at any price, to Chelsea Football Club or any other club.
"We made our stance on this issue abundantly clear in writing to Chelsea. They chose to ignore it and then subsequently made the offer public.
"For the avoidance of any doubt, let me reiterate that we shall not enter into any negotiations whatsoever, with any Club, regarding Luka.
"We now consider this matter closed."

Berk.Chelsea already made a formal offer.

of course he's been tapped up. this is chelsea we're talking about.
Abramovic doesn't know HOW to make a transfer within the fifa rules, he's too used to getting his own way.
Well Done D LEVY we are not here to be cleaned out by other clubs. Modric you'd do well to shut the f up and get on with life at the lane.

You call that an offer? I doubt the chairman even read it, then Chelsea decide to make it public, pretty below the belt stuff.
So you have the choice of having a player at your club who you KNOW doesn't want to be there or you have 25M to buy new players.
then Chelsea decide to make it public
================================
Really? The only person I've seen talk about it is good old arry.
that statement is big, and basically tells chelsea that if they want him, they gotta make a big big big money offer. none of this 30 mill nonsense. we are talkin 50 plus, or 50 plus a player.
At the end of the day Modric has no soul and so deserves to go to a soulless club. He is a fantastic player but he is overrated. He is not as some have said "irreplaceable", given his lack of goals and assists and the fact we have a strong midfield without him. He says that he has given us 3 years. Well in retrospect it is closer to 2 when you take into account half a season being injured and another half's worth of not being anything great.
It may have even solved a problem as you could move VDV into that position and start playing 2 strikers up front again.
no spurtle vdv doesnt have the discipline to play that.
if he goes we go after arteta as a replacement, or we back hudd and sandro , buy another class cm to compete in there.. and buy three strikers, two of whom play up top
that statement is big, and basically tells chelsea that if they want him, they gotta make a big big big money offer

Nope. Now Modric has said he doesn't want to be there we will just wait until transfer deadline day and then you won't have time to spend it.

Who did Modric say that to??? The reporters from the Independent and Daily Mail. Yes, sure. I can see it now "Hi Luka, we're from the English press, do you want to do a interview about joining Chelsea?" Modric replies "yes, sure come on to my boat have a few drinks and a nice meal and I'll give you a exclusive interview saying I want to leave and go to Chelsea"
Modric said he wants to leave if an acceptable offer comes in for all parties, which hasnt. So by that logic he doesnt actually want to leave.
