You're right Arro - was a very library-esque attitude. I think its that most of us have seen this sort of performance/result coming for ages - we're very ordinary - we have one tactic which is float it up to the big man. It's awful to watch - hence its quiet.
Yes eggs ya right but we're not helping, if be4 a ball is kiked we're all doom and gloom i wouldn' to want to play to a crowd like that would you .
For me its not the quiet before the game is the groans the minute a pass goes astray. The groaners and moaners destroyed half the team yesterday - Ward, Arfield and Woods were shiiting themselves whenever the ball came near them yesterday by the end. Gets my goat when numpties with anger-management problems make things ten times worse if someone's having a bad game.
Anyway - I couldn't give a monkeys any more - I won't be there to watch until that cocck-sure, arrogant twaat has been sacked.

From the off yesterday loui, you could see it was going to be long ball garbage, bypass midfield dross.
People including myself have looked forward to this match for two Weeks, then they come out and play like that!
Why should we motivate them?if they can't motivate themselves somethings wrong. Also why can't they do what the manager has supposedly told them to do?
We need a mexican style salsa band, Who will march around the cinder track playing some jolly upbeat quick tempo tunes, Not just before the game, all the way through, A free glass of fuity mulled wine given gratis by some hot chicks in santa outfits when entering the ground would also help lift the atmosphere,,,, The LB upper tier could have a couple of topless hunks in xmassy hotpants giving out glasses of the xmas cockle warmer to punters,, This may also help increase the atmosphere as it may tempt the ladies to vacate what should be the pop terrace (kilner bank),,,,,,,,,, Tbh Loui, The atmosphere has never been noted for being "rockin" as mistakes were made in allocating season tickets at the very beginning, The Kilner bank should never have been allowed to be a reserved seat area,, If you want a reserved seat "that is yours" there are plenty in the Riverside,,, The Kilner should have been a first come/first seated basis for tkt holders, Which also encourages your mates to come as they can sit next to season tkt holders,,,,, And last but not least,,, The largest family stand in the world,, No atmosphere at all, It adds nothing to the matchday experience and will bring in little revenue ,,,,,,,,, Hoyle and Clibbens (despite the formers pleas for noise, "out of your seats" etc) just does not work as they have given the SSafety mob far too much power, Far too easy to be ejected and then you have to appeal by letter and in person to the leader of the SSafety (not Himmler but Simmler) Robinson !! Its daft,, ~I know half a dozen lads who dont bother going anymore as it is not an enjoyable afternoon, Walk up prices are too dear and why bother buying a season ticket which may be invalid after just half a dozen games because you are barred/ejected for doing something the chairman has asked you to do ???????????????????????? Watching Town at the Farm is no longer a good giggle/social afternoon out,, It just aint.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Bring back the terraces,,,,, Solve the atmosphere problem in all the modern seated arenas.
I acutely dred going to home games now, they seem to be getting worse. And the atmosphere is getting worse too.
loui..
the home performances have just got worse and worse as clarks reign has progressed.. hence the atmosphere has worsened along with the actual games..
I wish I could get someone to cheer me on at work, but then again I don't get paid £10 grand a week like some, do I.
Moaning and groaning, wtf. Tell you what it is, from the 1st minute these fuc£ers that we watch week in week out should playing with hunger, passion and quality. Thats what they get paid to do. No more excuses on whose to blame, whats to blame. Do yer fuc£ing jobs Town and show this quality that has come with yer price tags and wages.
10 Darren Bullocks would do very nicely right now me thinks
Are we to blame
bournemouth didnt do anything special..
yes they closed down all over the pitch, thats called working hard... yes they passed the ball to each other, thats called basic footballing ability..
yes they had some pace in all areas, lee thats called basic management..
we play so slowly and so obviously that you dont actually have to work your ars- off getting back into shape and covering.. thats unforgiveable, teams dont even have to work hard to stop us playing and then taking over the game , whilst we look clueless and disinterested..
rhodes, robinson and ward could have got sent off yesterday and absoulutely no one would have noticed... a third of the team near enough were totally anonymous..
the spawny equaliser of a lot of the previous 43 games didnt come although we never looked like forcing one...
a total nothing from town for 90 odd minutes.. clark says he does not understand.. then f-ck off lee and take up a job that you do understand.. management isnt for you, i dont care how long you have wanted to be one, its just not going to work for you..
you cant do it with more money than anyone else and i doubt you can do it without cash in a lower league..
blaming anthony kay for the charlton game just goes to show your main problem...
its always someone elses fault, never yours...
Total agree jonnhy if I did my job as bad as they did I be sacked. lets be honest this is all they do train practice . How hard can it be to make good passes. Ok we all have bad days but come on some of the simple stuff wasnt working .
arro this must be a joke thread and comments from you today. you cant be serious!
At some point during the 2nd half my mind wandered off, christmas shopping lists, where to go, what to get...that's how boring the game was.
I want my money back...if that was the theatre they'd be throwing their programs on the stage...maybe we should do what they do in spain, wave our hankies to show our disapproval...never mind the germs everywhere..there is more thrill in a sneeze than watching Town..
I couldnt even be bothered booing them yesterday,, I honestly could not be Rsed, Well that and just aving an op on me gregory ? I suppose if i had booed all the rose tinted mob would be in uproar now, You shouldnt boo, Well as Jacko said, In every country on the continent they would have been given the bird big time, Hanky waving n cushion throwing at the very least.
No am not joking tez i really do think it's yours and cas fault.
haha. blame inter i heard him booing loads!

Then the Crunch, 38 & Jonnyh They are right too ?
It's not 2 quid to stand on the terrace anymore is it.
Loui has opened up a whole heap of 'What came 1st, the Chicken or the egg' scenario's .
Bryceys mates have had enough, Tez (who can blame him) is just but 1 on this chat board who is thinking along the same lines, How many more are there ?
Thats down to poor value for money - fair enough.
Lets challenge the role of Hoyle/Clibbins in all this, in relation to Loui's original concern, 'lack of atmosphere'.
Bryce nailed it in regard to the Kilner bank.
Thats the answer, the easiest answer to the immediate problem.
unreserved seating, In the Kilner.
There are more than enough empty seats around the rest of the ground to accommodate any & everyone who wishes to watch the game firmly planted on their behind, & in relative peace & Quiet, & hence why, by far & away the majority of us used to choose to 'stand' at the Old ground. Don't forget, There was only 6 thousand seats, & they were hardly ever all taken. (& even they were 'segregated' into expensive & cheaper- you could even pay a wee bit more for a cushion !)
The rest had 2 sides to choose from as to where they would like to stand & watch. perfect.
Hoyle & Clibbins between them could make this a reality for the next home game if the desire was there,
but for arguments sake, Even announcing that next season the Kilner will be Unreserved would be positive in the right direction,
& being able to pay at the turnstile would see more turning up with their mates 'at the drop of a hat' (Not everyone can afford a season ticket, or even want to come to every home game, but then can't, under the present system come along with a friend when the time/circumstances are right.)
There's nothing worse than people standing up,....& darn, continually while YOU want the exact opposite, But just the same, many others despise being confined to a seat, (Me) The Old ground provided a choice for ALL.
This 'health & saftey, one size fits all' has not been thought through, & being enforced to the letter is the main reason the galpharm 'suffers' more than most in terms of 'atmosphere'.
15 quid to access the Kilner next season, & people left to stand up without 'Stazi' intervention,
Who's for it, Who's against it.

we will be reported to the league again..for the persistent standing on saturday by a section of the kilner bank..
brilliant...thatll teach them stewards..
they are not going to close us down but like a lot of clubs we will start paying fines etc..
or dean will, to put it bluntly..
seats are there..like it or not.. they are not going away..
trying to make football grounds family friendly is not going to go away..
it was noisy against le-ds and wendies, it was noisy against bournemouth.. big games ....the team put in performances that got the crowd going..
it wasnt all that cold on saturday but boy it felt it..
Jacko - The atmosphere is pants whatever happens on the pitch,,,, Liverpool, Bmuff, ????? How many other games have there been that have been what i would call good,, Not many.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,In the first season at the new stadium i went halves on a ticket with a mate as i was then living in Derby, It made sense as i would not make a lot of games, But fancied being able to get to a few when back in the Hudd (it made sense as we were both at uni), ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,We bought 8 season tickets in total, Slap bang in the middle of the Kilner 2nd row from the back, Great seats or so we thought, At least until the first game of the season when we found we had two old boys sat behind us "sit down sit down" was all we heard all through the game, They would certainly have not stood in that position on the terrace, They did tell us that they used to go in the stand at Leeds Rd !, I did tell them that they would have been better off in the Riverside,, We did not renew our season tickets the year after in the Kilner,, We moved across to the River lower (jungle), Nobody at the club has ever given a thought to getting an atmosphere going at the then new ground and all those in charge now are interested in is winning awards as a family club.
38 - So what if we get fined, How much is the fine ? Do Man Utd, LPool, Millwall, West Ham, Pompey and Palace pay fines every week as they have nigh on full ends stood throughout ? I am quite sure i will have missed out many others who have large seated stands full of fans standing every game, Stood up throughout with no stewarding issues.
no stewarding issues...probably not..would you argue with a load of daft lads who have had 2 pints and want to take on the world(or a couple of stewards anyway)..
its a total deflection from the main problem we have..success..
i can make as much noise sitting as i can standing, if what i am watching makes me want to cheer and shout..
its a complete nonsense about standing,,,
the ars-holes who stand at football matches all the way through do so because they are told they cant, thats all..
bit like kids on the railway lines....
do the players in this team actually respond to more moise and more vocal support???
the evidence isnt very convincing, especially away from home when we have nearly as many fans as the home team...
its a diversion, this argument..
What a load of rubbish, It is physically impossible to make as much noise sat down as you can when stood up, Do church congregations stand to sing or remain seated ?? What an utter carp statement, I know of loads of lads who dont go to games because it is a pants atmosphere, you cant sit nr your mates and it aint value for money, Maybe you are the type i refer to who really should be in the Riverside where you are not affected by the lads who see a match as a social event supporting your team,, In the 35 years i have watched Town i aint seen much success and no amount of money thrown at it by the chairman to any manager is gonna guarantee success, But i want to go to games with likeminded mates, enjoy a bevvy or two and have a laugh and a sing song without being hassled by stewards and without spoiling the view of other fans, Big mistake by the club in not making the Kilner unreserved seating, If they had maybe those who want to remain seated throughout would have gone in the riverside, The club could even rent out little cushions n blankets. I was always guaranteed a laugh and a sing song at Leeds Road !
