When will our luck change?

I think a performance or two with 11 on the pitch might assist. Some say you make your own luck. On the pitch you only get that lucky goal if your pressing a team and that's not happened. With regards injuries little or anything we can do. They are frankly just bad luck and have caused the disagreements on here between many fans. It's the only justification coyle can have to keep his job. It's the difference between the sack him now and give him time brigade. If Holden was fit and we were in this position then no one could argue for keeping coyle. Then I also understand those that say if Holden was fit we would not be in this position.
Problem for us all is they will be back too late to save us and coyle should have addressed Holden loss after last seasons post injury collapse.

villa fan in peace went to the game saturday i was struggling to see where our next goal was coming from let alone our next win. as the only games we had won before that was blackburn , wigan and norwich all at home.sad to say it we werent great but bolton was pretty awful when it went 2-1 u didnt look like you was trying for the second. you need a bit of luck to get some confidence

I think he did try to address it but went for NRC and Pratley and neither one of them has shined for us this season.
NRC gets about his job but has not showed the form that got Italian and Spanish clubs looking at him last season and Pratley failed to step up from the Championship sadly.
I watched him many times last season on TV for Swansea and he was awesome but he seems out of his depth at this level.
Mark Davies as failed to impress this season as well and that added to Holden's injury setback was the icing on the cake i'm afraid.
If and as i fully expect Coyle to be here come January if he doe's not address that issue within the first week of the window then we should get on his back but i did read somewhere that Kaktua is going back to the Bridge and we are getting MacEarhan as part of the Cahill deal if it goe's through, Could be just what we need i feel.

plus compared to last season elmander & sturridge could pull a result for you out the bag

We have missed Sturridge he could pull a goal from nothing to be fair awesome player.

It was me that said that but someone else said it was not loanwise possible.

BWFC if pratley and NRC were his choices I go back to many an argument that bar Holden he has massively flopped in transfer Market. Would you trust him again in jan not to saddle us with another donkey like pratley?

It is if Kaktua returns to his parent club, You cannot loan 2 players from the same club at the same time but as far as i am aware you can loan 2 players from the same club over the course of 1 season. I think the reason we took Kaktua till January originally was because Coyle was hoping we could get Sturridge back in January when he failed to get in the Chelsea side but look what AVB as done for him now

I to be fair judging Pratley from the 12 or so games i saw him play last season would have signed him this season especially on a Bosman.
It seemed a good deal at the time and i always keep thinking maybe he will get better
Same could be said of Ngog though 4m for that donkey we could have had the Yak for free

Well the mcechran is a chance but he is undecided now between us and Swansea.

in january you have got to spend and decide wether u want to give coyle the funds
this time last year we at the heart of a relegation battle everyone was calling for houlliers head me myself one of those. however the chairman ignored the banners and the fans and splashed the cash on bent who's goals steered us to safety.
sunderland will be safe as they have reacted at the right time and will back mon in jan

We have no cash though that is the problem, We are 110m in the red with no rich American owner backing us so we cannot buy our way out of trouble, We must rely on as much as possible for Cahill and hopefully get a few new faces in with that cash and maybe a few loan signings to try and save us.

the big problem we have is the debt,i think eddie as stoped throwing money in as we now owe £110mil i dont think he as any more to give,Without money we cant attract the players we need hence the youth policy wich we should have had in place before we ran out of money.I cant see any improvement soon, and maybe we will go down.until we get our own players coming threw

The problem with loan players is that, the further you are in the mire ..the less appeal you have to any potential loanees. The likes of Sturridge, Wilshere etc. would not have come to a bottom of the league team, nor would their managers have allowed them to.

Another problem is that, by the time the transfer window ends, we could be in an unrecoverable position anyway - that will certainly be the case if things don't pick up dramatically between now and the end of January.

We need at least a couple of wins before Xmas or we're in an unrecoverable position.

Bolton will be ok

Wigan,Blackburn and 1 of the newly promoted sides are going down

On the McEachean loan thingy, I am afraid we CANNOT loan another Chelsea player this season, which just goes to show how much notice you should take of media gossip.

The rule is maximum four domestic loans in a season, no more than two at the same time, and no more than one from the same club throughout the season. Emergency goalkeepers excepted - get Kakuta fitted for gloves and there might be a chance!

See Rule 7.5 http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/handbooks/premier-league-handbook-2011-12.pdf - go to p173

how bad have things become...we are battling it out for a loan deal with Swansea

posted on 13/12/11

Kakutas only on a six month loan EIE, I think that this means we can send Kakuta back and get the other one?

posted on 13/12/11

I don't think it makes any difference Moses. Rule 7.4 says that the minimum loan period is from one transfer window to the next, and then Rule 5 says this:

"the maximum number of Temporary Transfers to any one Club registrable in the same Season shall be 4 and in no circumstances shall more than 1 be from the same Transferor Club save there shall be excluded from these numbers any Temporary Transfer of the kind described in Rule M.7.6.1 or M.7.6.2"

Those two rules refer to emergency goalkeepers and loans that are made permanent. I assume we will nopt be buying Kakuta on a permanent deal, so unless he gets some shot-stopping practice he is going to be our only loan from Chelsea this season.

posted on 13/12/11

Ahh, so we are only allowed one loanee from Chelsea for the season even if its only for six months.

Cheers for the clarification EIE

Yep, that's how I read it.

Moses is right once Bolton send Kakuta back to us,you are allowed to take another Chelsea player on loan.

I wish that was true, but I just cannot see how the rules allow it. It is Section M of the Premier League Handbook for 2011/12 that I am looking at - Rules 6 and 7 starting at page 172 of the pdf document that I linked to above. It seems crystal clear to me: we can acquire four different players on a temporary transfer during any one season, with no more than two at the same time; but no more than one of those four may come from the same club. If we send back Kakuta and swap him for someone else surplus to requirements, like Mata or Ivanovic say (a boy can dream), that would count as a second temporary transfer, it would not be a continuation of the first one. The rules are drafted so that you cannot temporarily transfer the contract of more than one player from the same club during the whole of the season.

I am so certain of this that if I am wrong I will eat an entire bucket of jellied eels and pretend to be Chas Hodges 24 hours a day from now until Christmas 2012.
