No abuse is acceptable. But if you strongly punish one, do the same for all.

Rooney abuses refs every week but that's allowed.

I'm not actually bothered. He gets the rest he didn't have after the copa America.

Funny that other fans say it's awful for us but none of us are worried

They say our season will suffer, but they don't rate him. I've laughed a lot tonight so far.

Well, Evra did exactly the same!!!!!
He used abusive language and called him South American in a racist way. I think that's actually worse then Suarez calling him negrito, which is buddy, homie or a friend... So, is Evra getting banned??

I just want to see the full proof evidence that made the fa swing toward guilty. It must have been posted on the united and arsenal board as they seem to have seen something we havent

Rival fans will use this new to add fuel to the fire and the abuse he will get home and away will be on a larger scale to that Beckham saw post WC 98.

I fear this will force him away and out of the league, leaving us a top player down......even if he player for the R$

I posted earlier about a whole can of worms here. Expect hoards of legal minds to pour over this and Liverpool aint short of a bob or two are they.

Where does the game go?? Well, its all well and good having a go at everyone who says something in the heat of the moment, but the FA are going to need a lot of lawyers and every club can expect to lose a couple of players a game.

I expect this to get overturned but the damage to Liverpool could result in huge recriminations against the FA...

The vultures are well and truly in flight and circling over head.

All to no avail. The club will do the right thing.

And it does amaze me, as has been pointed out, that these people who don't even rate Saurez are saying our season is over...

Idiots.

I havent seen any suggestion that what Evra called Suarez was racist.

Doubt it, this is the FA. Rules are rules. Unless you are the nations talisman (Rooney)

It's a good point that you raise. There are instances of players using 'insulting words during the match' in every game. Are The F.A. going to clamp down every time this is reported?

Another point to think about is does this extend to fans? Thinking about the charge after the Fulham match. Suarez was provoked into flicking the V's. Should The F.A. look into fan conduct as well as players?

Also IF Evra has been offensive to Suarez, surely Liverpool would report this?

It's only fair...one rule for one and all that.

Have you seen how the Liverpool fans have treated Rooney over the years.

"We would also like to know when the FA intend to charge Patrice Evra with making abusive remarks to an opponent after he admitted himself in his evidence to insulting Luis Suarez in Spanish in the most objectionable of terms. Luis, to his credit, actually told the FA he had not heard the insult."

That's exactly the point though. The F.A. like to clamp down on one high profile case, just to appear to be doing something.

I know I used the Fulham fans as an example but I wasn't saying us Liverpool fans are blameless.

the fa once again show themselves to be the bunch of amateurs they are masquerading as a body of authority.

the same way they feel they have to support referees against criticism no matter how appalling their performance in this instance its clear they felt they needed to show their stance against anything that can remotely be construed as racism regardless of what evidence actually exists.

the club is aware of that evidence and given their statement i expect them to take it far beyond the fa and if it goes to a court such as the court of arbitration then i expect it to be thrown out, embarrassing the fa even further.
