he would be coming for 2 months at a time when we're losing Chamakh and Gervinho, he's hardly blocking anyone's path. if the youth players were good enough to get us the results we needed then Wenger wouldn't be thinking of signing anyone else.
Or is our youth system just some fancy form of corporate social responsibility?
------
yes because over the years we haven't promoted any youth players to the first team have we
You raised hell when Sol came back but he was class for us and should have been given a new contract.
also, Sol did well for us and Lehmann didn't do great but we didn't even have anyone else, dunno what you're on about tbh.
look, wenger is not an idiot, if he thinks thierry can do a job, then i will back him 100%. no-one expected sol to play aswell as he did when he returned. i can still remember when he matched bale for pace at WHL seriously
He didn't match Bale. Bale just felt like racing him. Do you know what it means to run side by side with a legend?
None of our youngsters are near the standard that Henry is
Also, youngsters will get good experience and advice from having our top goalscorer ever around. I see no way in how this is a bad thing. All our strikers in the youth haven't been good of late, and putting them in the team and seeing them flop is more likely to hurt them, rather than an experienced legend coming in, and showing them how to do it both in training and on the pitch
Imo it'll give the youngsters someone to look up to, we're talking about a man who has a statue outside our stadium it would surely bring a real buzz around the place. Win-win situation as far as i'm concerned
nah, you have to make mistakes in order to develop santa. the better players learn from them, and seek advice. then you have players like bendtner, arrogant toerags
Bringing him back will certainly re-invigorate the younger players in the art of simulation. He will demonstrate to them how to take in onto the next level. Which, of course, is just what the EPL (re)needs.
Can't stand cheats. Never have done, never will do.
What message does this send to a kid in the reserves?

so getting a Legend in for 2-3 months is not gonna help the Kids but buying a £20 Mil player for 4 years is gonna make them feel wanted ????
