Nothing old fashioned about putting a strong header into the back of the net scaring the sh:te out of eveyone around.

Why do you need to hoof the ball to a good header of the ball?
Get a decent winger in who can beat players and more importantly, put in a decent cross into the box. Forget the 70-yard punt upfield to the target man. Now that is hoof-ball.
Yeah, OK but Drogba Carol etc Lazy players...we need footballers mate!!!
Exactly! Just mentionimg these guys as being decent headers of the ball. We need a Steve Walsh-type header of the ball upfront who, more often than not, gets onto the end of a decent cross.........not a long ball hoof as in Howards situation. We won't win sweet F.A. with a Howard type centre forward with all respect due to the man.........back in the day.
