Considering who you have to play away and who we have to play at home, I wouldn't be writing us off just yet.
"united top of the league, United United top of the league"
joint top that is.

Why should we be afraid of anyone!
Nice of the ref to send a man of for a nearly nothing elbow against man u when Rooney got away with one off the ball against Wigan not so long ago.
Most United fans on here agreed it was a poor decision, but since Wigan have never scored a goal at OT (since coming up to the premier league anyway) and it was already 1-0 was hardly a game changing decision.
And you should be afraid because it's back in our own hands
It's in our hands too, you have to come to te etihad and if we can turn you over in Trafford then we can do it in Manchester!
By the time we play you at the United stadium it won't be in your hands anymore
The year 2011 will end with normality restored, United top of the league !
"Take the derby out" - why? It was a result that counts just like every other of the 18 games each club has played.
"Since Wigan have never scored at United" - why bother even turning up then, might aswell just add three points onto your league position when that fixture crops up and save everyone a lot of effort.
I think the point a lot of blues are trying to make is that out of our remaining fixtures against the top 6, only Arsenal is away, where you lot still have to go everywhere bar Anfield (unless I am mistaken).
City have had a start beyond their wildest dreams, United have been indifferent by their standards and always improve in the second half of the season and yet there is not a single point between them. United's away record is better than their home record so going to the Emirates, Stamford Bridge, and the Etihad won't phase them at all. I am already thinking of how to put the number 20 into the word Champions, maybe Champ20ns , what do you think ?
Interesting that you have faith in United because history will tell us they 'always improve in the second half', yet then claim you also have faith because your away record is better, which is actually unusual.
Perhaps your away record is better because so far you have avoided playing anyone from the top six, bar Liverpool, a game which actually resulted in a draw...
the other way at looking at the fixtures is that all our home games except maybe Liverpool are now bankers so that is 27 and most likely 30 points virtually guaranteed, whereas you could easily see City drawing with Chelsea, Spurs and United at home. As West Brom showed yesterday, you could drop points against anyone away so you could just as easily drop points against Stoke away as Chelsea and no away game is a banker. This means City have far fewer bankers than United.
city were lucky to get a draw at L/pool, you also only got draws at Fulham & WBA, teams United beat.
Anything can happen between now & May, I've no doubt both Manchester teams will be fighting it out all the way tlll the last few games.
could go to the last game of the season, wouldn't that be fun.

In reality though, it won't be 30 points 'guranteed' for you because nothing in football is guranteed, I would have thought you will still drop one or two suprise points at home.
See when we dig in and grind out a result at Anfield we're 'lucky', in that case you were 'lucky' against Norwich, Chelsea and the Baggies.
Going to be a close title, makes it exciting, lot of confidence from you reds, after 19 though you would have thought you'd have clocked on that the title isn't given out on new years eve.
No it isn't but if United are in contention on New Years Eve, they generally go on to win it.
Good job Mancini knows that then...
“I'm happy for our supporters that we are top at Christmas,” Mancini said. “They can have a good Christmas day but the important thing is to be there at the end of the season.
Certainly more enjoyable now we are competing at the top, I pinch myself because I remember relagation in 98 an how far we have come since then.
yes I agree to that, it makes for an exciting season and a lot of banter, should be fun !
