We was lucky we didnt get a right pasting yesterday the lad Bunn kept goal really well!Light at the end of the tunnelNO.As long as our Manager is our manager NO.We was very fortunate to get away with a point but all said and done a point is better than nothing.
Call me an optmimist but I still think we have a chance (albeit a slim one) in getting out of trouble. My main worry would be what happens when clubs come sniffing around in January for Samba and Hoilett. If we sell these players we can forget about staying up.
The only positive is, I believe, on paper and fully fit, we have a better squad of players than some other teams. Tradionally, one or more of the newly promoted teams struggle in the 2nd half of the season as teams suss out how they play so I can see more teams being brought into the relegation fight. Look at Bolton, for all the good there win over us was, they went out the next day and lost.
Our weaknesss is the full backs, also a decent forward. Plus we have quite a few out injured so all in all should Samba go it will be a disaster as he is the backbone of our defence,as for Hoilett well im not too bothered about him ,Samba will be massive blow if he leaves.
I think they both will personally, remove Hoilett and you remove any genuine pace from the side. All the others are either moderate or slow. I'm not really sure it matter how good our team is though. Last season we had a starting 11 of:
Robbo, Salgado, Samba, P.Jones, Givet, Emerton, N'Zonzi, J.Jones, Olsson, Hoilett, Kalinic
Now to me thats a better side than Allardyce ever had and is easily good enough to finish mid-table. But Kean only managed 22 points from 21 games with it. By that reckoning he'd need an even better side than that to be certain of keeping us up.
Its looking bleak I must admit! We have been lucky a few times and weve had some rotten luck also,I really dont know if S K is up to it and im afraid all the demos, booing etc might be affecting the team?We need to get a couple of wins badly otherwise we are truly down and out.
The point we got yesterday has almost certainly got us relegated. Kean will now not be going..
You sound like you wanted Rovers to lose i don't understand why a fellow Rovers fan would want Rovers to lose
If that's the case it's time to throw in the
i dont think it was a hollow victory,no i thought in hindsight that the team he played did do well,i still believe he has a strong hold on the dressing room, the players did show that at the end,,i also thought Robo was very dodgy of late,,ok i know he wsnt dropped but i did blame hime for at least 3 maybe 4 of our recent goals against,,and i aint getting into no arguement about that with anyone either,it is just my oppinion,,i like to watch Bun in the reserves and he deff inspired some confidence,,is it a coincedence that Robo has a strain prior to Liverpool and man U away,,not sure about that one either,,we are not out of this by a long way but we need wins and i just am not convinced that kean can get us those wins, but heyt lads no worries we just have to grin and bear it,,we have no say what so ever in fact we are as pointless as the guy who never goes to a game,,no use to the club or anyone.fans of Blackburn Rovers a pointless crew.
Skin, I think the point raised is a fair one. As Venkys know Jack Sh about football they'd probably accept defeats to Bolton, Wigan, Wolves, Sunderland etc so long as we fluke draws at Liverpool and United...
I don't think it matters if we Win Lose or Draw Kean is here for the season sad but true wanting Rovers to lose will not get rid of Kean and you should never want Rovers to lose
Tricky one this, if someone had said before our 'six winnable games' that Kean would be sacked if we lost the first; I'd have had to have a serious word with myself...
We all know Kean's not good enough as manager(only wow left) i can't believe he is still manager ,only getting 4 points from our 6 winnable games if that can't get Kean the sack nothing will. I was pleased with the younger players performance they got us that point
Skin can i just enlarge on your comment,,Kean is here whilst Venkies are here,,as that not gone into your head yet..?
Good article. Just reading between the lines though, it smacks of desperation. We're all that way right now. We're utterly lost and confused. We just want our Rovers back, the way it should be - a respectable acknowledged Premier League outfit.

Skinrover wrote,,"I don't think it matters if we Win Lose or Draw Kean is here for the season"......well strangely i take that as meaning you think that Kean will get the sack at the end of the season should we get relegated,,i then explained to you that he will never, ever get the sack whilst Venkies own the club,,not difficult ,but you did send some confusing messages out,,,
It would be a very brave business move to keep an underperforming company employee in a position where his inabilities and failings could directly contribute to a loss in excess of 30 million company turnover.
It would be a very brave business move to continue to ignore the feelings and requirements of the company's customers.
It remains a very brave business move to recruit a no mark on cheap money and within 12 months completely downgrade the product offering to your customers.
It remains a very brave move to enter a new market place without a business plan or strategy and to wing it day by day operating from a different continent.
Bravery in business is required and I applaud the Venky's.
However, there is a fine line between business bravery and business foolishness and on the evidence to date some may argue the Venky's are totally and utterly bonkers.
You decide, as only time will tell.
On topic, I think the board is a little quieter due to Xmas, but even in myself I sense a growing apathy about the club and its fortunes.
I won't now go away under Kean, so am not as caught up in the week in week out stuff and the home fare has been shocking with little to enjoy. Our turmoils in all areas continue and it has become tiresome following the Rovers.
I almost feel like I am in limbo, waiting for the removal of Kean and the Venky's, but it isn't going to happen anytime soon so I need to work out exactly where I am up to at this moment with my Rovers support as it has all become very predictable and tedious.
Here, here OOJW,,i have no idea at all were i stand now regarding BRFC,,i have said many times that the club is not my club anymore,,it is as though it has been taken over by a group of aliens,it seems to have no future plan other than the stupid talk that comes from the manager the owner and now the press,i go to games awaiting the goal that the away team will undoubtedly score followed by the crescendo of Kean Out that follows that goal,,i do not agree with that by the way,no point what so ever to do that,,but the fans have to find someone dont they? Andrews as gone,,Pederson takes a bit of stick and even that cheat Dunn is now coming in for a little stick,,but Kean as took place of Andrews and i still feel that he has been the unluckiest manager we have ever had,,but we do have the cr ap iest fans in the league for me,,and that leaves me thinking were am i with this football club,,do i really want to be involved anymore with such a disgracefull situation, and OOJW this thinking i have did start with the constant berateing of K Andrews.,,
Taking your company senario into context, what you maybe have missed his player and assett value of said company, with there initail investment they could still walk away with a vast profit even if they decide to liquidate in the not to far off future,,it could prove to be a good quick buck business venture,
Steve Kean = Great Manager ........
Rover blue, I don't believe we have the worst fans in the Country, far from it. Consider the United fans treatment of the Glazers despite continued success, how about Liverpool with Hicks and Gillette, not attending games and getting a proven manager the sack.
Our story is far worse. Failiure for those teams is missing a Champions League or two, our failiure could result in OUR Club ceasing to exist.
What is also worth noting is that MUFC and LFC are brands and the majority of their fans are merely short buying sports channel subscribers!
Let's face it, Blackburn is hardly an attractive metropolitan city. Football is a massive part of the community and the workers of the town's weekend refuge.
It's about passion! Sometimes it may appear to spill over too far, but where is the line? I cannot say that a few boo's and jeers are too much when you see people ripping the heart out of a community for a quick buck!
OK Pie,i do take on board all you have pointed out there,,we do however have an element who never seem to be happy and have to have some target of abuse,,i have seen this on many occasions,,sometime now Goodwillie will be verbailly attacked by the very same section,,the Darwen End group did used to hold it all together for me,but now they have just joined the hate Kean section,,now it may sound odd this but i could indeed make a good case for S Kean on games that luck or bad player error played a part in us losing games,ya,,and i mean many games not just the odd one or two,but many,,WBA and Bolton games were by far his worst performances, but prior to that things could have been so so different,,it may seem strange someone saying these things but fairs fair for me..and that doesnt mean i think he is a good manager i do not,,a good manager would have won those games, espec the ones we took the lead in.
