Gomes

The only thing I've got against Brad is that he doesn't leave his goal line. However, I've not been that comfortable watching a Spurs goalkeeper in a long, long time.

Benny ...I'll forgive him that , he so good in all areas

Brad has just been mr consistant, i made an article on him a month back. Absoloute awesome keeper and has made a huge difference

What benny said!

We still look a little keystone cops at times, but not really down to brad, and he has made a huge difference!

Squid, he is brilliant, truly! One of the reasons we're so brilliant right now.

Its just nice to not have an absolute mentalist in goal. Someone who the defense can trust and who they know won't do something. The calming nature he brings to the team makes him a fantastic signing

Agreed Brad has been very consistent this season, and keeps everything simple.

But like BennyCool says he needs to leave his line occasionally. Other than that though he has been absolutely brilliant.

brad is to spurs what van der sar was to utd. he brings a calming influence. defenders trust him.

and who they know won't do something crazy*

I still have a bit of a soft spot for Gomes, though that is entirely down to the fact that I was a Gomesesque keeper myself, able to make some fantastic saves from out of nowhere, and then be able to do something unbelievably stupid a few minutes later. So I guess I was never overly harsh on him because he reminded me of me a bit.

Yet, with Gomes in goal we wouldn't be where we currently are in the table, so Im thrilled with Brad. The summer transfer window seemed a bit of a let down, but when you look back we acquired a proper spine for our team.

Brad-Scotty-Ade, cost £5million. Half a Crouch.

These three players have made the difference. Keepers rarely get good press, picked out more for mistakes, the heroes are the ones that put the ball into the net in the medias eyes.

No doubt our defenders feel more comfortable with him in goal (even if, as BennyCool states he doesn't leave the line often) but he has made a difference in defence.

Best Spurs team in my lifetime, and Brad is a key reason.

I personally feel gomes wasn't given enough time.

Friedel is a quality keeper. Can barely remember him making a mistake over the past 10 years

Yeah, big Brad is especially the two crosses he came for and got no-where near. Brad is a vampire, I've never seen him go near a cross.

Diamond you may have not seen him come for crosses but I've not seen him make a mistake

He is a very solid keeper but I've noticed a few times recently that he always seems to flap at crosses. He did it a lot of times at Villa and it always seemed to go unnoticed by the media. I thought the timing of this article was strange squid, if I'm being honest I thought Freidel was a bit of a liability today and looked like Norwich's best possibility of getting a goal.

I love bitter fans. Back in the day when Chelsea were bought out by a billionaire and buying any player with a pulse and Arsenal were the most attractive team to watch. Well we now play the most attractive football in the league and we don't bay £100 million per player!

Credit where its due

He is a massive improvement on Gomes though.
