What's with all the Sturridge bashing today?

He's a forward who scores what more do you want?

Lots of Sturridge wum articles today..............people must be desperate to write something I guess.

Im not a wum, im a genuine supporter, but I have serious doubts about this guy.

What? This article is ridiculous. 7 assists what more do you want? Mata only has 7 in the premier league, shall we get rid of him?
And are you really suggesting selling our top scorer for an unproven, incredibly expensive winger who will need time to adapt, and therefore won't compensate for the lack of Studge's goals.
How could Sturridge have done any better?

Sturridge on current form is the best english forward (yes media and manc WUMS that includes your lovechild), it shouldn't even be up for debate by opposition fans let alone our own

This articles is a big 'FAIL', and so; deserves a big 1

7 assists is good, but he gets him self into a huge variety of situations where his final pass is woeful.
He only has as many as Mata due to the fact Mata is man marked by 1-2 defenders.
Fact is with Sturridge we are never going to have a world class player like we have had at the bridge for years, however with someone more risky like Hazard, at least we have a chance!

I stopped reading this ridiculous article by the second paragraph. with the ridiculous state of CHELSEA players this season sturridge is our messiah. so don't write anything just for the sake of writing its pathetic.

Sturridge occasionally picks the wrong option because he is young. If we had on form strikers, people would be praising his delivery however we don't and yet he has still made 7 assists.
2 seasons age Xavi made 7 assists in the whole season, would you have complained?
Anyway, who the hell is world class at 22?

Agree SF. I can take people constructively criticising Sturridge because he does have faults but he's still a good player and will get better and I reckon his 'selfishness' is overhyped. This article is ridiculous and strange as this user usually makes good articles. Sturridge bar Mata and Terry I would say is our best player and with the other young players you mentioned will be a major part of our future

Haha thanks for quoting me. I'm honoured. The title of the article is "IS DANIEL STURRIDGE THE CAUSE OF CHELSEA'S WOES", regardless of what the article says the title already carries a negative connotation.

Daniel Sturridge has been converted from a striker to a winger. He is 22. He is our top scorer. He has 7 assists and has had the most shots at goal. It's not so much of his decision making as it is him just being greedy. And you know what, if he wasn't that greedy we would have hardly scored at all this season!

He has scored more goals than our other strikers put together. And made more assists. Looks like he's doing pretty well to me. And all at 22.

Lampard has been shocking. Torres has been shocking. Kalou and Malouda have been shocking. Bosingwa is just dire. And here we are entertaining a carp article trying to undermine one of our key players of this season.

Give the lad a break.
