I wouldn't mind england coming to the UAE with that kind of attitude, would suit Pakistan fine. Really would.

the England team are proffessional and will do a proffessional job. I think they will win, but i would not be so bold as to say 3-0. i'd say 2-0 with a draw somewhere

and also i agree with the sentiment that the 5 teams below England (India, South Africa, Australia, Sri lanka and pakistan) are all quite evenly matched, none of them being as good as england.

Jezzer, depends what conditions they are playing in. England in the sub-continent are uncooked as of yet............ Ajmal will try and change that no doubt, do you prefer to be fried or grilled???

Jezzer.....correct me if I'm wrong....but it was only 2 summers ago you and all your mates on 606 wanted half of this champion team sacked.....so I might just let the England team show me what they are capable of then listen to those who jump ships to suit themselves...yes England are doing well, but don't brand them as champions just yet please...

it wasn't everyone. There were those who were calling for Cook's head, Colly's head, KP's, Bell's, pretty much the whole team if we're honest. there was even one fool calling for Rob key to be the number 3.

wasn't me however, I only called for Bopara to be dropped, and that was after the second test

I missed that topic, never called for anyones head, except matye boparas

as i said it wasn't everyone voice, but particularly after headingley, there were calls for axings flying to all quarters. I called for Bopara to be dropped, and for bell to replace him, and that was it.

I cannot see how Pakistan are going to beat England. They may be in good form but minnow bashing doesn't really show much.

Last 18 months paks have payed in tests with Aussies, Saffers, Lanka, England – India we don’t play. Unbeaten against Aussies, saffers and Lanka and lost to the english in england…….. Minnow bashing?

Trash was probably a little strong but I can't see Pakistan getting a look-in unless England have a temporary blip. But I would be tempted to go three-nil yes as I really can't see anyone stopping us? I guess what i was trying to say though was that with SA losing to SL I can't see SA stopping us this coming year. And THAT was being billed as the biggest test of all for England

Drbantam, I think you mean “THRASH” and not “TRASH” - I know Pakistan have served up some TRASH off-the field lately, but I cant see England trashing or thrashing Pakistan.

England are favourites, no doubt about it. The maximum you will win is 1-0 in my opinion. When was the last time you won a series in these conditions? Exactly! So on what basis are you going to “thrash” us – the fact that you beat a mediocre aussies (re-building) and Indian team at home? Or beat the Lankans 1-0 in a 3 test series, similar to Pakistan by the way?

England are number 1 and deserve to be there – I just don’t see you taking 20 wickets more than once in the 3 test matches. Hoping for a good series anyway

When was the last time England won in Aus before 2010/11? We are different class now and I think the best Pakistan can hope for is scraping 1 draw and avoiding innings defeat in the other 2. 2-0 series win for mighty england

My concern for England is that the players have been through a long period of inactivity and one wonders if they can get into form quickly enough in the UAE.
Pakistan on the other hand have been active for several months and are in the groove.
The first test may well be a great chance for Pakistan to claim a victory.
