Defoe will get them goals as well
You can get 10,000/1 for Adebayor to score the first goal for Spurs against Manchester City!
They have forgotten about him. There's no way they remember who Defoe is

"Their attack will be non-existent without his services"
Their attack would be the same as last yr.
Just goes to show how superior the nascent Spurs are.
Took only one vaguely decent striker (Adebayor is not Drogba or Torres or Berbatov in their prime, nor RVP now) to play as to cause utter turmoil and panic in the supporters of much of the "Sky 4" .
God forbid Spurs sign someone like Damiao !!!

It's very true that without Adebayor they will struggle up front. The difference between our situation and Spurs' though is that Adebayor does not have a terrible injury history so nobody talks about him possibly getting injured.
It's just too bad Damiao is not willing to ply his trade with them. Anyways spurs will be found out once Adebayor comes off his footballing high towards the business end of the season
The main difference is Spurs dont rely on him for their goals. We have plenty of scorers in the team. If he was to get injured I honestly dont think we'd struggle as badly as you're making out.
It's true you don't rely on him nearly as much but he's the one who holds things together for you guys from the front
They managed to finish 4th without Adebayor, they can do without him like I said before Defoe chips in with his fair share of goals
I Hope Spurs slump to there rightful 5th place
This should wheel them in

Adebarndoor has been a certain improvement on Crouch with both goals and general play, but he is far from prolific in front of goal.
He has missed many chances this season and it is a shame he doesnt have Defoes finishing prowess to go with his other attributes.
He has improved us however, and he could easily have another 2 goals to his tally if they hadnt been ruled out (wrongly) for offside.
Parker and Brad are BIG improvements on our team. If we didnt have Ade we'd get by.
I remember the days when we didnt have many chaav wums on this board they didnt notice us much. noticing us now boys arent you
"The main difference is Spurs dont rely on him for their goals."
No you do not but his touch, hold up play, strength, technique and ability to bring others into the game is something you do not have when he is not playing. Do you think it is a coincidence the likes of Defoe, Bale and Lennon have looked far better players this season than last when he has been playing?
^I hate to admit it but I agree with the above^
I like defoe but he can't and never will be able to play effectively as a lone striker imo.
If Adebayor were injured i think we would very likely have to swap to 4-4-2 and play Pav alongside him
They've come along pretty well since last season and are legitimate top 4 contenders. Only time will tell how well they hold up
An injury to Ade would affect us but we have moved on a bit, even since the start of this season, employing different formations and tactics, playing 4231, 4411, 442 even 352.
Personally I have been super impressed with Redknapp's tactics this season. He seems to have upped his game. Without Lennon we looked unbalanced for a game or 2, but we have clearly been practicisng new formations and seem to have a Plan B C and D and showed that vs Norwich
We cannot afford too many key injuries at any one time, who can, BUT unlike Utd perhaps we cannot play the 1-0 style to get through games when we are not at our best.
With Pav 100% certainty to leave next month we will bring in another striker anyway
At the moment we are relying on Ade simply because we have no one else, that will change come January
Is there any chance Dos Santos is leaving as well?
