We're talking about Tottenham being cut adrift on this one

"The analogy of West Ham being a Poundshop whilst occupying a £500m, 60k stadium is a bit far-fetched"
The analogy of the Spanners occupying any 60k stadium is a bit far-fetched.
BTW, hows' the Peoples Republic of Newham doing in trying to get their electorate to agree to them attempting to waste 40m on getting the OS for their own means ??
myhammers
The analogy of West Ham being a Poundshop whilst occupying a £500m, 60k stadium is a bit far-fetched.
===================
But West Ham dont occupy a 60k stadium, thats the whole point. Neither is there any concrete evidence that they ever will.
Are you saying the chances of West Ham bidding for and getting the OS are far-fetched? I'd have to disagree.
And Newham council wanted to get the OS for their own means? Really? Maybe the council members were hoping to have a private game of football in a 60k stadium

Poor old myhammers.
Proving that Spurs and OS OCD is standing in the way of tracking the facts.

Are you saying the chances of West Ham bidding for and getting the OS are far-fetched? I'd have to disagree.
======================
You can disagree all you like. The FACT (not opinion - FACT) is that West Ham have no connection to any stadium other than the rubbish hole they currently play in.
All this talk about West Ham playing in a 60k seater is just pie in the sky. The bidding process hasn't evn started yet.
So if we have no connection to the OS, why do you keep referring to West Ham not being able to fill it and West Ham fans having poor views in it? Inconsistency in your argument!
If West Ham do not get the OS (for whatever reason) then, in my opinion, it will be a real blow for the club.
But if we do get it (which seems likely) then, for all the reasons I've stated above, things are going to look pretty bleak for Tottenham.

So if we have no connection to the OS,
1) why do you keep referring to West Ham not being able to fill it
and 2) West Ham fans having poor views in it?
====================
1) Because that would be true.
2) And that would be true.
1) 24k on Spursday
2) Limited view stadium - WHL
18,000 for West Ham Cup Final at Upton Cack
Which one is better?
Spursday league or mickey mouse cup?

Never in the Europa, and you've never even won the mickey mouse cup
--
Well done after spending all those millions.
Shame about your 24k attendance for those games though..
And you are telling West Ham wouldn't attract 60k even though 96% turned out for a Championship game against Coventry...
Hypocrites..na. OCD's..
Which one is better?
===================
You tell us.
As Arry says, you'll never ever play in one of them, and you got knocked out the other one in an earlier round than we even had to play in.
As Arry says, you'll never ever play in one of them,
--
Happy to be a pretender then..
Given the choice of playing lower league football, i think anyone would.
The Long Ball League.
Tottenham are a more successful club than West Ham. There's no denying that.
But if we get the OS, that will surely change. And it wouldn't have cost us over £200m, which is what I believe you've spent in order to be where you are today.
Like Mafia says, we got near 35k for a Championship game against lowly Coventry.
"But if we get the OS, that will surely change."
How are Newham doing with their bid ??
With the track legacy, and all dem music gigs, where will Newham find the free slots for the Spanners to play all those Championship and bit-part League Cup qualifying games ??
Thanks to Tottenham's greed and their desire to abandon their roots, West Ham no longer have to take a £40m loan from Newham.
The money for altering the OS will instead come from the taxpayers, just like the majority of the £500m which it cost to build.
Ta very much

Can anyone please explain above posters single brain cell comment.
If West Ham would win(which they surely ) a bid to lease the stadium for certain period of time then why would they worry about music gigs?

Like Mafia says, we got near 35k for a Championship game against lowly Coventry.
===================
The problem is, this attendance has been quite rare. Wasn't it 'kids for a quid' too?
I really dont know why you're even discussing the OS - what part of "It isn't your stadium, nor have you got any rights to move in" do you not understand?
If/when the bidding process starts (in about 3 years) we'll talk about it then.
Until then, you have to suffer with getting 28-30k attendancies, playing that awful football thats going on right now at U.P. And if you dont believe how bad it is, ask anyone who goes to the games.
ArryRaptor, your stupid question answered 20 times in this article..
Why don't you concentrate on your own attendances for Spursday league or come up with inventive ideas like FREE tickets.
