Exactly + factor in he plays for Chelsea and it´s easy to see why the media are out to get him.

Luiz is a quality defender and better than any player apart from Modric is the tottenham squad...

Hansen knows so little when it comes to punditry, either that he is extremely selective. Luiz does so many good things and in terms of defending he is class.

Do see your point about Luiz and the media. Thats what they do, when a team is down and struggling a little, the media will pounce on anything., we've had it at Arsenal for years.

In regards the Phil Jones, tbf I think he plays more Centre Mid today so he is expected to be going forward, whereas a CB possibly not

I honestly think that its easy for them than to report the truth, that luiz is a very good player with the potential to be world class. On the ball he is as good as any cb in the world and better than most midfielders, defensively he's great at reading the game and making interceptions, but not so good at knowing his limitations, he tries to win every ball and more crucial balls that he has no chance of winning. Lets not forget he's only been here 1 year and made something like 20+ apperances and come from a league where the standard isnt the best, ramires took time to settle in and look at him now first name on the team sheet for me. I think if luiz continues to play he will settle down defensively which will allow him to play his natural attacking game without being constantly criticised.
