Maybe he is just a big yard dog.

It might be he's a bit cack.

He has more excuses the DeGea. I didn't think that was possible....

De Gea has talent. The same cannot be said of Carroll.

De Gea he will always be a calamity keeper.

7) His hair gets in his eyes. (At 23 you cannot get a haircut its a lifestyle choice)

On the bright side, you sold the crock that is Torres and got Carroll and Suarez for him. Suarez is MUCH better than Torres (when he's not being racist) so it's irrelevant whether Carroll is good or not. It will only matter when Suarez is injured or banned......oh wait!

Thanks for rolling over for the Blue Mancs lads. I know you don't want us to get to 20 titles!

As for De Gea, he would have saved the first goal. Reina was Bartez-esque on that one!

Suarez better Torres.

On current form he is. He's also younger and less injury prone. Also younger and not hit his prime yet!

Did I mention he was younger? He's younger than Torres. Younger. Get it? Younger!

Kalou is better than Torres at the moment.

Much as I enjoy laughing at bitter rivals' players, experience suggests that footballers sometimes struggle under certain circumstances and then do really well when something changes.

1) His age. A lot of very good players of the past didn't really come into their own until their late 20s. Some mature faster than others. There is no reason why at 23 we should know for sure what kind of player he's going to be.
2) New club. A lot of fine players have endured a bad 12 months before coming good.

I have no idea whether Carroll will turn it round - at Liverpool or eventually at another club. He looked like a promising player at Newcastle but not one I marked down as obviously having best-English-striker-of-his-generation talent or even being worth (Fernando Torres minus £15m). Perhaps he could turn himself into a fine professional with the kind of dedication that has made the careers of not exactly god-given talents like Beckham and Lampard. But the rumours suggest it is specifically his application that is lacking.

Long John Silver would be more use than Torres at the moment!

Just watch Caroll during a match, he just has no idea where to go or what to do

His positioning is indeed awful.

posted on 4/1/12

Not only his positioning is awful but his entire game is terrible apart from his heading. Heading wise also he isn't a world beater.
Even in the championship his record isn't great either.

7) He reads JA606 and the " Carroll 35m " comments have got to him.

Needs to start working hard for the team, if he gave 100% effort there'd be less people on his back

posted on 4/1/12

Even if he gives his 100% and works hard I doubt he has the talent to be a player to worthy of 35m.
