It's only right - We have a West Stand named after Fred West.

England's most expensively assembled side ever is a whole 3 points above a United side that has spent very little last 5 years (obviously detract player sales from purchases)
The funny thing is if not for Uniteds terrible luck with injuries this year they may not even be top, I think at different points this season we have had Evra, Carrick and Berbatov play in central defence. We have barely had one of our best players (Vidic) available our defence and midfield has been depleted the majority of the season. Think our first choice right back has made 2 appearances.
Lets be perfectly honest all things considered we are doing brilliantly to be within 3 points.
No, but there's a secret vault under it where we keep all the documents outlining our doping.
...and a couple of Billion quid for a rainy day.

Stop it, I'm in tears here. Please rtry and console yourself with the fact that you had Englands most expensive defender, England's most expensive teenager and afforded yourself the luxury of dropping England's most expensive goalkeeper for last night's game. Luckily for you, you could count on products of your youth system with the likes of Nani, Anderson, Carrick and the new Duncan Edwards.
Boris you are the most Bitter City fan on here. 35 years really have brought out the bitter within.
We bought Rio in 2002. TEN YEARS AGO FFS !!!
A depleted inexperienced United team in transition is just 3 points behind the all conquering mega spending city.
Cut the garbage and give us some credit like we have done to you. Fergie has worked miracles so far this season to get us this close to you with the problems we have.
I still see City winning the title (just) but this year was always going to be tough for us losing VDS n Scholes, let alone Vidic.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here we go again. At every single of moment if footballing history there has always been a side that has been "England's most expensively assembled". Right now it is City's. It would probably be United's if you had the money. So what?
The real issue is that City are top and United are second. It may not stay that way but while it does - tough.

Berba, Rooney, Jones, Young, Carrick, Nani, Anderson, De Gea, Rio - Yes it must be murder trying to mould that bunch of bargain basement cast-offs into a cohesive team.
Love the way rags say United are a 'team in transition' whilst scoffing at City as if our present squad are an established unit that have been together for years.
Cut the garbage and give us some credit like we have done to you.
-------------------------------------------------------
He was responding to Captain_7_The_Best's post who didn't give City any credit at all and responded in kind.
Our longest serving player is 23 year old Micah Richards, yet apparently we're not a team in transition.
We lost Van Der Saar and replaced him with a 20 yr old. We lost Scholsey to retirement as well. Of course we are in transition.
We are building yet another team. Most of which are very young and nowhere near their peak yet.
We can't win it every single year can we? But it would be really funny if we won it this year. You lot will never live it down. Not looking likely this morning but in two months time who knows?

Where did you lose them? On a shopping trip to to the Trafford Centre. Fergie should have been bringing in their replacements 3 years ago.
We lost Van Der Saar and replaced him with a 20 yr old.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds like a silly thing to do. Perhaps a more experienced keeper would have suited.

Like we brought in Shay Given whilst Joe Hart was gaining experience at Brum.
Most of which are very young and nowhere near their peak yet.
==============================================
Never a truer word said. I suggest subscribing Phil Jones to a GNVQ Foundation Course in "Heading a Ball".
Conspiracy theorists say that the 19 year old defender was talking to a random bloke with a dog on the touchline, asking what the score was, before realising that the ball was coming his way.
Sounds like a silly thing to do. Perhaps a more experienced keeper would have suited.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe there wern't any experienced keepers available who we wanted. If another VDS was knocking around I'm sure he would have been signed up.
I think DDG will be world class in another 2 years time. Takes time to adapt to this league.
There wasn't a dicky bird said about Silva last year. Look at him now. Best player in league arguably.
Think before you drink before you drive me up the wall.
If another VDS was knocking around I'm sure he would have been signed up.
==============================================
If there was another VDS knocking around, it would be his twin and therefore be the same age (give or take a minute or two).
The only line I mentioned about City was the most expensively assembled, I wasn't asked to credit City and I didn't really discredit them so I don't really see that there was a need to bite at it (which your reply "He was responding to Captain_7_The_Best's post who didn't give City any credit at all and responded in kind." suggests you were)
Most expensively assembled ever is actually a fact, or is mentioning facts count as not giving credit ?
Sure United have a fair few expensive players, but without spending huge amounts of money, this is down to the brilliant management of Ferguson.
Lets be honest anyone else would have probably be nowhere near City with their level of spending of the last few years if they had only spent what United have.

Yet still our net spend over the last 5 years is hundreds of millions off yours, which tells you just how much City have spent (and just how little United have spent)
So like I said I think we are doing well considering our injuries and the fact that only because our neighbours have had nearly a billion invested into their club are the only reason we are not top, even then we are only 3 points off.
Honestly If City can't win it under current conditions they are wasting money to the extreme...
