Better than what we have right now.
I think he'd be a good buy if we can get him for the right price. Can score, can play wide, probably won't mind not playing every game at this stage, is called Junior. What more could you ask for?
He's got more to his game than all our other options on the wing, can't see Wenger signing him now if his contract runs out at the end of the season though, probably try and wait until the end of the season and get him for free.
Don't like his name that much.
I reckon he would emulate Henry far better than Theo ever will.
He actually loves to cut in from the left and can shoot.
Oh I'm starting to dribble.
Cheap option again! He's good but we can do better!
Looking at our recent purchases can we really do better?

Lets sign him anyway, he can teach our kids something.

If he was that good why haven't Blackburn offered him a new contract?
(which they haven't, not that Hoilett hasn't wanted one for a while - a fact revealed by Jason Roberts on Radio)

The only reason I would sign him is if he joined Spurs and became a success I would be WOUND UP. We need to sign more than just him though.
"Because the blackburn board are total fail?"
Or that he wasn't worth the wages that the club would be lumbered with. Of course when a player is on a long term contract his 'transfer fee' increases. But sometimes that is far less than his wage demands and contract. Remember the buying club has to buy out his contract. That includes his wages!
Look at that fool Cahill. He is demanding £120k a week. Mert is probably on £60-70k a week. When all European clubs have to control their budgets how can any club waste £120k a week on a defender? Even Chelsea are not that stupid when they have to replace Drogba as well.
Cheap option again! He's good but we can do better!

Batmanu, I honestly think its time we do without sentiments of this nature.
Look at the number of options we could have done "better" without and see what impact they are making in the EPL - Demba Ba, Bryan Ruiz, even Yakubu is far better than Chamakh and Park.
I'd rather not talk about expensive options like Carroll and Torres.
@Jenius99 Are you serious? Who does he think he is? Totally overrated!!!!!

Yep its being reported everywhere. I wanted us to sign Cahill in the summer. But £120k a week is more than RVP gets now!
I can see Hoilett asking the same as Theo is demanding (£70-80k a week)! Even though Theo is now an England regular and has much more potential.
Premier League clubs have been paying ridiculous sums to their players. Its no wonder they are going out of business. Remember Arteta was supposedly on £95k a week and his wages were adjusted by giving him an extra year just to so that he didn't take a pay cut by leaving Everton and joining us!
Obscene money. Sort of wages that only the biggest clubs in Europe can afford. And you can't call Everton or Blackburn or Stoke big clubs. Thats why FFP is going to hurt the smaller clubs in this country far more than Man Utd or Arsenal.

Cahill is overrated and English. Liverpool will give him what he wants and he knows it.
"Getting paid big money and playing for Blackburn, or getting paid decent money and playing for say, Arsenal."
Over inflated sense of worth m8. Everyone knows that Everton are in financial poo. And they have been on sale for a while. What were they thinking giving Arteta a contract of £95k a week? I mean seriously.
Thats the king of logic that we (gooners) are all getting grumpy about when Arsene was handing out contracts like sweets to the likes of Traore, Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner, Rosicky, Fabianski, Chamakh who have contributed nothing to the first team.
Cahill is being clever. He knows that he will get £120k a week when he walks away from Bolton for nothing. At the moment Chelsea are also forking out £7m transfer fee. So he is in a way trying to extort Bolton out of their transfer money. Great captain. And Coyle doesn't stop in his adulation for him
I would prefer youngsters from lower leagues or abroad. Jenkinson may not be completely ready for the first team but he has good potential and drive. I think premier league players are lazy and think they have already arrived.
