FOR ALL THE LIVERPOOL FANS

Well, yes really. A player can't be labelled injury prone after a couple of seasons whilst their body is still growing. Injury prone players are players that will pick up injuries - normally of the same kind - all throughout their career.

Owen, Hargreaves, Sneijder, Dyer, Zamora are all players that fit this description. A young lad that has picked up a few knocks at the start of his career is slightly different.

Don't worry, I'm not expecting you to agree.

I don't. You have defined injury prone to suit your argument.

My definition is someone who is prone to injury. You know, like the twins at the moment.

As Macca said, hopefully they will grow out of it.

"talking about good young players. Why hasnt fergie given pogba and morrison moe of a run out."

Dont know, he dosent seem to have much faith in them at the moment.

Morrison is obviously a tricky one to fit in due to the fact he is more of a luxury player - he isnt going to get much game time whilst Rooney, Nani and co. are fit.

The situation with Pogba is strange though. Looking back at the Blackburn game, we had Rafa starting in midfield and Pogba on the bench. I had to ask myself, is Rafael really a better central midfielder than Pogba at this moment in time? If so, how much hope is there for him?

--------------------------
Players have to be mentally ready for 90 minutes in front of 75000 fans. It is just as important as being physically ready. SAF doesn't want to have to sub them after 15 minutes and humiliate them if they are not coping.

Pogba isn't from these shores too which will make it even tougher. He would have been out on loan this season if he'd been British but SAF felt he needed to be close to the club.
Pogba will get cameos and tbh from what I've seen so far, he way too raw to start week in week out in the PL. I think he's 2 years away

It's not really an argument though is it? More of a description or view as to what we would consider as 'injury prone'. If we are to go by what you're saying, would you consider Vidic injury prone? He's had two injuries this season, which is the same amount as Rafael, I'm sure.

I certainly don't, yet, Vidic has had quite a few injuries in his time and Utd. But like I say, he isn't an example of what is a injury prone footballer. More unlucky perhaps. Much the same as Rafael.

No, because this is new with Vidic. We can usually rely on Vidic playing around 30 + games.

In fact he has averaged 33.5 games in each year he has been with United.

So look for a better example.

Is that my ears burning or do I really hear another scouser stalking me on an Internet forum?

I cannot be bothered to read through all of the comments and this may have already been said but here is my view on Jones (for what it is worth).

Jones reminds me of a young Jamie Carragher in the fact that he can play CM/DM very well if required and anywhere along the back (not seen him a LB but I am sure he could do it). He is also a very all action player much like Carra and therefore is in the limelight quite a bit for last ditch tackles and marauding runs down the pitch (yes Carra could run in his day and still does on occasion). However with this all action style comes that same pitfalls that Carra has experienced (own goals, penalty's given away, bookings etc) and with being in the limelight everyone will be talking about the mistakes, as they did with Carra.

I only hope that I am wrong in my views as the last thing I would want is for Jones to be anything like Carra as it would mean that Utd would have a cracking player in the team for many years to come.

Learn to take the laughter of rival fans as it will happen a lot as we have had over Jamie. Comparing him to Baresi at the moment is quite laughable as he still has a lot of growing as a player still to do. One day maybe, but not yet.

His performance against Newcastle was though!

Oh and OP it is irrelevant if he has scored more or assisted more than Downing as we as Liverpool fans know that he has not been up to his previous standards this season and to be honest it is a stupid comparison.

I am a bit annoyed that Jones chose to go to Man U and he strikes me as quite arrogant and thought he was ready to take anything on.

People are always going to laugh when people like that come a cropper.

My view is he's a superb player and learning from errors is the only way youngsters can progress. He will become a very good player no matter what.

I have met the guy and spoke to him for a good twenty minutes, and I can tell you that he is as far removed from being arrogant as you are ever likely to see.

I found him to be totally honest and down to earth.

I later spoke with Padddy Crerand and Stuart Gardener from MUTV and they said exactly the same.

Vidicschin.
All very well stating you would splash out 20 million on this player and 20 million on that one.
The problem lies in not having the money to spend! esp.when you are crippled with the interest on a multi million pound debt.
Along with the new rulings coming into the game,it is my opinion that the team with the best youth system will reap the rewards at a future date.
At one time your team was in that position,at this moment in time LFC are now in the accendancy,2nd only to Barca.

.....................

Please do not start with this, because it shows you to be very ignorant of reality.

We have spent more in the Glazers ownnership than we did for the entire premiership years preceding it.

..................

........................

Not necessarily true. The new rulings say that you have to spend within your means. Maybe you are also ignorant of how big our turnover is.

So United could 50 million evey year and still be well within the rules.

......................

At one time your team was in that position,at this moment in time LFC are now in the accendancy,2nd only to Barca

.........................

Again you are ignorant of the facts. Pretty sure United are the cuttent FA Youth champions, knocking Liverpool out quite easily, on the way.

Good job you don't post very often if this is an examle of your best work.

That was not me saying we should spend 20 million on this player and 20 million on that player though was it?

You are not very good at this are you?

Are you Proud Scouse in disguise? He was one of Liverpools thickest fans.

I would not believe a word that come out of your mouth. In fact if you were to tell me the time,I would have to go and check and your petty, pathetic comments dont change one thing.
Or were you expecting to get Kyle on a loan.

If you read my reply to 3/9 you would see that I have countered everything he has said in a logical manner.

You may note that he has not bothered to counter me, but decide to call me a liar instead.

You might want to have a go at one of your fellow fans. Or are you a hypocrite?
