bates said last year that warnock was a good manager
I used to like Warnock, but heard today he received 3 mill from an agent for the Barton transfer.
We all make mistakes Jonty.
Warnock is almost as distasteful as our steamed chairman.
It's Neil Warnock - of course it isn't.
LIW, don't know about legality, but it's certainly not allowed according to FA rules.
Hey Jonty,if he plays outside the rules,he sounds like a bates man.In fact he will have him just to pick up a few tips.
He's made excuses already.
"My biggest regret is that the takeover didn't happen earlier, because that would have given me the opportunity to bring in the targets I'd pinpointed all last summer and probably given us a better chance to succeed in the Premier League."
He's signed a good few players with premier league experience and they have not adapted to the league anywhere near as successfully as Norwich and Swansea.
sir kenneth, in warnocks defense, he cobbled together a team that was supposed to compete in the PL at the last minute because of our previous owners dilly dallying.
he brought in ferdinand, young,SWP and Barton at the very last minute.
to a great extend, his hands were tied by the previous owners.
Very similar to Leeds' transfer activity over the summer left it until the last minute and a large proportion of our arrivals arrived after the deadline closed on loans and free's. It's not easy as you need a full preseason working with your squad to get them playing the right way and so you as the manager have an idea what your best 11 is.
It's a big risk sacking him, but then again it could turn out like other harsh dismissals at Newcastle and WBA last season with the clubs benefiting massively.
Neil Warnock is an anagram for "its somebody else's fault!"
i certainly hope so, as i said on a previous thread, i would not be at all surprised to learn that a replacement has been waiting in the wings for a little while now.
we shall see.
Why did he get the sack if he's so good?
WARNOCK? A self-confessed Leeds United hater?
Are you serious?
"A self-confessed Leeds United hater?"
Do you mean like ken bates was?
I think Warnock is a fantastic manager.
Any club, like ourselves, who is pushing for the playoffs/promotion would look at him if the manager position became available. His record speaks for its self.
I don't think he would have the ability to work with bates though.
That and we already have a manager.

Really? From a free transfer? How does that work?
You'd need some serious signing on fees and wages to try and hide 3m, even if it was spread over the whole length of his contract.
Admittedly Barton's agent does have a reputation, I'd need some convincing to believe that.
