BTW,is it al.I.stair cook, or al. A.stair Cook? have seen both used.
England are rubbish in the subcontinent. Should be ranked something like 8th here.
And the above article also holds true from English perspectives.
England need firing Cook scoring his daddy hundreds.

They WERE but whether they are or not will be seen pretty soon.
So hold your excitement for now, swatty.and let the time decide.

Idiot
I think Pakistan deserve an enormous amount of credit for Cooks change in form in the last 2 years. He was all over the shop vs pakistan in 2010, and all our bowlers had him in their backpockets - questions were raised about dropping him for the ashes later on that winter, but boy o boy has he learnt and improved his technique since then - looks a diffrent batsman altogether now.... Agree he's probably 1 of 3 key wickets for pakistan (Bell and Trott being the others in my opinion!)
I agree Afridi, and I remember that Asif's overthrow to help him reach to his 14th test century.Hasnt looked back since.
BTW, do you really think that he has sorted his technical flaws, that people used to talk about? or just because he is in form ,people arent talking about his technical flaws?
what is it?
Don't be suprised to see Hafeez bowl early or open as he has a very good record of getting left handed openers out early with a hard ball and could be an avenue for Pak but truth be told Cook is a classy batsman and he will enjoy the UAE tracks.

Can anybody answer my questions above that I put to Afridi?
Chopping, Im not sure if its technique or just a matter of confidence, i think far too often people just switch the two terms according to how many runs the player is scoring.........
From what i can remember, His problem was that he had abit of difficulty in timing the little sequence of movements – forwards and backwards – which cme immediately before the ball was delivered...... just looked abit shifty at the creasing not really knowing what his stance was....... whatever it was, he seems alot more assured now.... maybe it wasnt such a technical issue and just a mental thing???
But still, Cook seems poor down the ground, does he not?
Havent seen him hit the ball past the bowler or between the midoff and midon...
Do you think we might even see that in near future?as we all know Cook is really hardworking. Can he improve on that part of his game?
Lets be honest since playing Pak in 2010 he has batted against an ok Aussie bowling lineup and two very poor bowling lineups in Sri Lanka and India so we don't really know if he still has those techinical deficiencies. I can't see Gul troubling him too much but Junaid just might if selected.
I do agree with Greatteams that England's long and strong tail is a cause for concern for Pakistan. Bressie is a good batsman and Broad looks to be on form. Swann can do his bit and Jimmy has to be the best no 11 in cricket. There is even a case due to this on those flat tracks to play the extra spinner in Monty.

Afridi, Wahab as a batsman got found out after his early success so I don't hold much for him as an batsman. We still have Rehman who can bat, Ajy too underatted but Gul needs to up his batting game.
