The RDBD (demoted to supporting the team Pep Guardiola manages)
BTW, Hoddle was 100% luxury.
Be serious.
Rockney.
Roberts was one of that breed, like Mackay, Mabbutt etc, would would rather die on the pitch than see their beloved Spurs falter. And chipped in with some belting goals too.
Oh, come on !!!
Hoddle had a work rate that made Ginola look like Parker.
Twas always the reason that the Don Howe ethic-driven Englands never played him that much in the early 80s.
Nobody has mentioned Tony Galvin , he was awesome until that Sourface ruined him in the 1983 league cup final

Hedly I think you have got the wrong end of the stick , I was replying to our friend from down the road
Sorry mate, I must have got the wrong end of the stick.
Anyway that early 80s team was a very fine team, and I had some great days out at Wembley watching them.
I loved Robbo. I remember I was mascot at Keith Burkinshaw's testimonial in '84. I was 10 years old at the time and Robbo gave me a b*llocking in the dressing room for not cleaning my footy boots properly!
Much schoolboy WUMmery was endured by the RDBD as our 1982 Quadruple died a lingering death (42 games per season then too) .
whilst we're reliving the 1981 glory years and as we've got Watford next in the FAC:

Hoddle can probably still do skills now that current players cannot which is why there was an element of jealousy in the England squad when he was manager.
That was a big mistake by England RDBD , they should of built the team around him
he was ahead of his time and England wnated Grafters not players like him, who could win a game on his own
I remember a game against Feyenoord in the UEfa cup, before the game Johan Cruyff said " whos Glen Hoodle" well he knew after the game , won 4.2 i think and hoodle scored 2 and made 2 if my memorys ios correct..
Squid .... 1982 final not 83
"That was a big mistake by England RDBD , they should of built the team around him"
Cloughie was a Hoddle fan (but not the work ethic) .
If he had got the job, I think they would have.
Mighty .....Don't need to play the vid , that goal is permanently etched into my grey matter
Hod idol ........They say that the one thing that was wrong with his managerial skills was that he was still better than the players he managed and would get peed off that they couldn't do the things that he still could
1982 yep sorry I was there as well
Squid - me too! Its for the benefit of the younger viewers!!
