Right, you ask how can a league title be lost over Christmas?
Well from the 22nd Nov - 28th Jan we played 10 games. Winning just 3, and drawing 7. In those 7 games we drew we only scored 5 goals.
Being negative is not just about scoring goals. Many of those games we drew that season, we either went a goal up and then took our foot of the gas, or we played with not enough urgency until the last 20 minutes and couldn't break through and we ended up 0-0.
In our last 11 games (starting 2nd March) we won 10 and drew 1 game, scoring 34 goals (nearly half our tally for the season) or 44% of our goals in just 30% of the games. We still finished 4 points behind Utd.
This means that no matter what we did we were destined to lose the title, which means we lost it somewhere before that.
Lets break the league up in to three chunks. Aug-Oct, Nov-Jan, and Feb-May and have a look at what happened during these months:
Aug-Oct: P10 W8 D2
Nov-Jan: P13 W5 D7 L1
Feb-May: P15 W12 D2 L1
Which period stands out to you as where we may have lost it?
I like Rafa, he was a great manager who gave me great memories but the sun did not shine out of his árse like some of you lot seem to think. Take the red specs off and try looking at it objectively.
I'm off guys. Have a good evening!!
Yet by the end of January we were only two points behind United. Definitely out of it by then.
Scoring goals for fun throughout the season but negative.
Obviously there were games when teams parked the bus and made it difficult, the difference was, United had 20 and 30m players to bring off the bench and they got results when they played badly. negativity was nothing to do with it and that is backed up by the stats.
Rafa was a good manager but people need to stop going with all the cliches and actually try to remember back to what was going on in the games and failing that, check the thing out, it's all over Google.
Two points behind with 14 games to play but out of it.
I'm also signing off for the day -
might ipad it later

I'm off to my Nan's for tea.
See you all tomorrow
After Inter sold their best players and the rest became old and with no funds to buy new players, he wasn't likely to do anything. Where are Inter now, since he's left? Rafa's games in hand would have got them back to within a couple of points.
Regardless i don't care about Inter, I care about Liverpool and what he did for Liverpool.
Anyone seen Limitless and is it worth watching?
