Welcome CTID, Agree totally with your comments and I cannot see why we should not make the play offs. We had a sticky start to the season but 7 wins out of 9 is very strong. Ings is back for the reserves tonight so other than Pato and Junior all is well at Turf Moor.
If not this year then a very good chance next, although they are coming good at the right time.
Thing I like is the team spirit seems to be back, comments from Trip, Mee and now Vokes all saying how they enjoy being at Burnley. It sure aint the Town and the lifestyle that they all enjoy. That was what carried the promotion team forward and it seems to be there again.
I believe Eddie has found his depth and is very comfortable, the team are playing how he wants them to. He doesnt strike me as the OC give them lots of BS and a promise kind of guy. Very down to earth, tells it like it is and move on.
So can they do it, yup but lets take one game at a time.
Gutted to see Vokes went back to Wolves, I think he gave us a different ball out from the back. Would not be surprised if Eddie went back for him full time, they us big time for Iwelumo. Yes he could score but there was more running in molasses on a winters day.
Forgotten all about Iwelumo. Just shows how the human brain can reject bad things. Guess thats why I never think about Rovers or Bolton
It wasn't that he was a bad player in his time, just well past his best before date. Was he the player that missed the open net when he played for Scotland? know there have been many to have done that but this one was especially glaring.
Welcome CTID, we should certainly be classed as contenders. Four of us on here now, good to see the Clarets coming back to ja606. UTC
Could not have been as bad a miss as the one by Findlay for Forest last night !
The 1 star bandit has struck I see. So sad he has nothing better to do with his time. Anyway I popped a 5 star rating on just to even things up.Was going to suggest rating all Bolton articles 1 star but that would only be sinking to their level.
Thrown in a 5 star as well, cant let them get away with it can we
Nice to see Wade Elliott getting the winner for Brum tonight.........always a man for the big occasion !
Looks like El Bandido has changed his vote to 3 stars
Great to see Wade get the goal, now they are on to ....Sheff Utd hmmm scoring against them is his speciality.
First Clarets goal tonight for Danny Ings !
He scored the winner just 17 mins into his debut having come on as a sub after an hour.
Most encouraging start following moths of frustration. Also nice to see the resrves go top of the league.
3 points Saturday and all will be very well in Clarets. World
It gets better and better, bring him back slowly we have cover (so long as no more injuries) thats really good news.
Also good news about Patto, not as bad as first thought and could be back in four weeks.
Cheers guys.
Danny ings scored yesterday which i feel is great for the young lad and also great for Eddie as well he speaks very high of him and hope he recovers fully and i feel he is going to be one of our future stars.
It is good times at the turf and even our away form is great. onwards and upwards up the clarets!!!
BTW, we got the Handy guide up to 70 posts, not bad for this little knot of stalwart Clarets.
Life seems so much better when the Clarets are doing well, hate to think about it but we are really very similar to Barnstoneworth and when they play bad life's not worth living. Main difference we are trying to do it with a young team instead of a bunch of has beens.
Dear me, there are some Burnley survivors.
I thought the place had been quarantined after a viral outbreak it's been so quiet on the board.
I used to wonder why I got in to so many fights watching BFC, I thought I had anger management courses and failed 4 of them. Then I realised, I have a low stupidity threshold. Now I dissect and put back in my own words, well it works for me but I dont get as much satisfaction as bone grinding against nose
Bricks the rumours are not true, was told that you and MT had run off together and set up a commune for ex Coyle lovers.
Hate to say it but we told you so, hopefully you dump him soon and we can all get along together. He would probably have been a better manager if he had stayed and found out that being pally pally only gets you so far, anyhow how the heck are you.
He is starting to show some tactical and selection shortcomngs onts that the Prem exposes.
I still thnk we'll get out of trouble but Coyle will have to learn fast going forward or we should be looking elsewhere.
Bricks, cant see how you will get out of trouble. Coyle aint up to it tactically at Prem level and ED aint going to throw another 100 million at staying up. Think Rovers will survive which leaves Bolton,WBA,Wigan , Wolves and maybe QPR to scrap it out. Good luck anyway, I think you will need it.
He made some very good buys with us and also some that had you scratching your head especially when he never played them.
Our survival was actually down to one game, not BWFC or tRovers but we had to beat Wigan. If we had we would have stayed up on goal difference. I believe he could have motivated us for that game and we would have had another year. He could then move on, we get a manager coming in at the right time and would have had time to work with his team.
No axe to grind with Laws he was out of his depth but he gave it a try.
I really hope for your sakes that he pulls it off but you didnt look good on Saturday, mind you Utd were in no mood to have another slip up.
