You could say that. It was original enough in it's direction, but the plot didn't waver much from the traditional boy meets girl storyline. I did like his quiet dedication to her and the boy though, and her clear appreciation of it.

It was like a cross between The Fast and the Furious and Lost in Translation which is a bizarre mix. The slickness of the action scenes was a little ott (as was some of the violence), and as I've already stated I think the soundtrack was poorly picked. Just lacking tunes in my book.

One of the greatest tv shows of all time.

The Wire is the greatest tv show of all time.

Several of the actors in it came from Oz though so I've always meant to check Oz out.

I've never seen The Wire but heard it's amazing. I'm always reluctant to watch new TV shows because there's so many good ones and it's so easy to get hooked!

Believe the hype, 8bit. It's five seasons along and yet it's so coherent and well written that a point made in the last episode could be a reference you'd only understand if you'd seen the first episode. To put that into context, The Sopranos was my fave before I'd seen The Wire, but after watching it since from start to finish you realise that the writers were winging it from season to season with no clear overall gameplan. The Wire comes across as if the last episode was written before the first episode was filmed.

And yeah, it's about the futility of the war on drugs in America and each season takes on a different aspect of it. It's just indescribably amazing tv.

I was thinking of getting into it, my brother always goes on about The Wire and Entourage, you've sold it to me now

AHB, Oz for the first 4 season was unbelievably good, Just incredible. And Adewale's performance in that show was just out of this world!!

Cool. I've a feeling you'll love it too. It takes a few episodes to get into the swing of it but stick with it.
