Ah yeah, this brings me back to the other day. pirate bay recommended I download miro which I did. When I clicked on the get this torrent link, my miro page popped up. It has 1 beside dowloading on the lhs of the miro page. Is this all groovy?

Think I did 8bit. Feels like I've downloaded just about everything in the last week, except any movies or music.

I didn't download torrents for ages because I thought it all sounded dodgy but once you get the hang of it it's all good, just a bit complicated to start.

Wait until you try downloading games, some are easy but I spent about 5-6 hours getting my copy of Grand Theft Auto to work.... the one with Niko that is...

Once downloaded do I need any particular programme to watch the movie, or does it work on Miro would you know?

To be honest AHB given your experience with downloading so far anything with any kind of anti piracy software would probably keep you stumped for a while. There are a lot of simple to install PC games though....

Apparently you can download Playstation 3 (and possibly X Box) games as well but that is well beyond me (haven't got a console anyway...)

More seeders is an indication of quicker to download and usually the better torrent. Sometimes another torrent may be better (higher quality/subs included ect.) so it is worth checking out the comments and information section...

Though if your not too fussy with quality just go for the highest seeded one...

Seeders are the other people who have the file. With torrents basically instead of downloading from one source, you download simultaneously from everyone else who has the file. Miro is just a tool to process the downloads, then you can watch it in Windows Media Player etc.

Excellent. I'd go and buy smaller bands or independent movies I liked no problem, but large music and movie studios can kiss my ring of fire.
